>Wolf<
Even Shadow couldn't resist any longer. His own ponderous tail, normally at rest and morbidly alert, started to wag as well. Leaf was fine, he was fine, there wasn't any danger around, and they were about to go off hunting, one of the more fun aspects of being a wolf.
The black wolf didn't wait long after Leaf himself had left the den before leaving himself. He pushed through the vines, muzzle sticking out as sunshine permeated through the upper branches of leaf cover and cast a sheen of light on his otherwise dark form.
It wasn't long before Shadow himself scented the fresh, new smell in the air. His muzzle raised up in the air as he took a long deep breath, filling his lungs with the moist air. His eyes closed, his muscles relaxed and he allowed himself a moment of solace, a break from all the struggles he had been going through lately.
A moment, a moment longer-
Leaf's voice cut through his reverie and made him smile all the more. No they prey wouldn't. Shadow let his muzzle level out as his dark eyes followed Leaf around the damp forest. Back and forth he went, and Shadow couldn't help but chuckle lightly to himself, wagging his tail. And when Leaf stopped, nose moving as if pulled by an invisible hook, he knew his brother had found a scent and a trail.
Moving to the white wolf's side, Shadow lifted his nose to the air, sniffing...testing the air... "Mmmm.... Yes I do. A good breakfast." Shadow grinned, teeth showing, his muscles and taste buds reacting to the scent on the air, drawing taunt. He stretched and prepared himself for the chase to come. "Deer."
He pressed up against Leaf, gazing off to where he was certain the trail led. With a playful bite on Leaf's nearest ear, he growled softly out, "Let's get em!"
Shadow waited till Leaf took off before following close behind, adrenaline all jacked up as the thrill of the hunt sunk in-
... That was until something let him astray.
Shadow's paws suddenly found themselves a new direction, a note, his mind applying a musical sound to, pressed in on his mind. And that song...even a strong wolf like him couldn't disobey. He didn't want to... The music was so sweet...
Ten yards, twenty yards... He lost track of Leaf, from both sight and mind.
And then... He lost sight of everything completely...and everything faded away.
