Soft moonlight played across the water's surface, forming a mirror to passers. But why would someone want to be at a seris of waterfalls in the middle of night. Even if it was a warm summer night, people didn't seem to come to water once the sun set.
Maybe that was the main reason Roxas hated night time. Because no one ever showed up. Well, even in the day time no one seemed to walk past the pond he was currently stuck in until a heavy rain would allow the mermaid to leave the emptyness of Sunset Falls.
Sunset Falls weren't really empty. Tourists and travellers often came by. But none of them seemed interested in the pond away from the waterfalls, where Roxas current sat on a rock in the middle of it. "So bored..." Roxas murmered to himself, his mermaid tail swishing through the water.
Was there anyone awake at this ungodly hour anyway? Sure, there was Roxas. But that's beside the point he's trying to make. What could he do in the meantime? It seemed as if he would be stuck there for quite some time. No clouds hid the stars as some ran across the sky.
The blue-haired mermaid looked up at the falling stars and, even though it was childish, muttered a wish under his breath. What harm could it do? It wasn't like his wish was going to be granted anyway.
