Mikari tilted her head at the silver fox, and frowned as it squealed -- she had seen the human fall. What were those people called again? Ah, that's right, shapeshifters! Mikari had always been in awe off those creatures, wondering exactly how they changed shape in such a way. They most certainly weren't rare in the lands, but they never ceased to amaze her. "I don't think they're bandits, Papa," Mikari piped up, "They look nice to me!" She exclaimed wtih a bright smile, showing her pearly white teeth. Besides, if they wanted to do something, they would have already right? It could have been the naive thinkings of an eight-year-old, but Mikari didn't particularly care. "I'm Mikari." she said in a friendly voice and a wave in their direction -- though she wasn't bold enough to remove herself from her Mother's protection just yet. She had a hard time looking away from the bright silver fox -- she wanted to squeeze it. Mikari giggled softly at she thought of squeezing the life out of that silver ball of fur. What an interesting sense of humor....Must have gotten it from her Mom, haha.

I slowly let my body return to it's human shape, wincing as the leg twisted back to a normal limb. "I happen to be lost, believe it or not. I haven't seen any other people for quite a while, so I decided to take a stroll out here. And on the way I happened to have a bit of an accident...." I explained, sitting up slowly. The cuts on my body burned but seemed to not want to bleed. I looked at the family as the girl waved.
Uncertain, I waved a hand back at her with a surprised expression. Seemed she didn't mind the company. But then again, I had to get to a Kingdom for supplies...And for someone to look at my injury. "I'm not really in the shape for travelling anymore, so if you don't believe that I am not a bandit, then go ahead and leave me here. My wound will heal soon enough."

His blue green orbs had caught sight of the shadows that danced behind the young girl. He had no doubt that they were a protective family. He shifted his attention to the woman when she had finally spoken to him for the first time. He allowed a faint smile to cross his lips. He knew very well what it was like to be protective of something. In fact, he'd grown up being protective of both Raveik and Revlis. Maybe it was that role of the big brother that he had to play that had allowed him to do that.
Sevrim listened carefully to her words and honestly couldn't blame her. "I suppose you're right. I'm just not used to greeting like that of your family I guess," he calmly replied to her. He held no threat in his voice because he didn't have to put on an act of any kind. What would be gain from it? Nothing of course in his mind. If he needed something then he knew very well how to get something like that on his own. "However, I do admire how close your family is. You have a great pride."
It wasn't hard for him to see that his words had some sort of effect on the other male. He could see why Kuri was one edge so much but still found it to be a silly reason. Though if he was certain of one thing he was sure that it was not him mocking Kuri for his actions. He just started what he thought was the truth in his eyes. He knew very well that someone would always have a different view on truth than himself. He'd just learned to accept things like this; it was life.
"To some extent you could call it 'suspicious.' Though you need to look at the area around you. This place is almost lifeless besides forest animals. It's not like you can really talk to them," he stated to Kuri. "Isn't it human nature to stay with others as a group just as it is a dog's nature to be with a pack? Two social groups. I believe that all of us are rather easily drawn together." He stated nothing but the obvious. He hadn't run into anyone else in this forest in a rather long time.
Of course than the child had taken her chance to talk when her mother and father had finished. He couldn't help but smiled at her, remembering when his siblings were that age. "You have a good sense of truth, Mikari," he happily said back to her. He'd honestly didn't know the shapeshifter's motives but she had said that it was an accident after all. He honestly felt ho threat coming from her so he did nothing to try and change his sense of security around any of them. He simply waved back at the child then.
Roxiri had stated that her wounds would heal on their own. He couldn't help but take her word for what it was and trust her judgment. He wouldn't help her unless she wanted the help and backed away. Sevrim found himself then leaning back aganist a tree, looking back to the family, mainly at the parents of the young girl. They were the only threat to him at this time and he didn't feel like fighting any time soon. Sighing softly, he lifted his tail back up and slightly curved it around his body to glance at it.

Kuroi seemed to grow bored of this group of strangers. A soft sighed escaped her as she crossed her arms over her chest. She rolled her eyes as they began to speak. The shadows that danced around her and Mikari lowered slightly, but the ones behind Mikari stayed up - just in case.
Her expression and demeanor went from protective to I-don't-give-a-flying-waffle. She didn't care for what they had to say or their reasons to be here. She honestly wanted to fight. Surrounded by shadows, this was her ultimate arena. She would thrive in this forest - dominate. God help whatever lonesome soul crossed her path.
She could see it now. A lost person stumbling upon her in a dark forest, hoping to find a way out only to find a way to the after life. A smirk began to grow on her face as she thought about it. Her smirk was that of a killer's. However, she quickly caught herself, the smirk vanishing within a second. She shouldn't think like this and she knew it. Living in a world where a thin rope separated the light side of her from the dark - it was a tight rope to walk and she'd often find herself falling into the dark. When she did, she would wander away from Kuri and Mikari during the night to try and climb back up. She would usually be back before morning. However, the edge has been tempting her ever since she stepped into the forest.
Kuroi shook her head slightly, trying to clear her mind. She couldn't - shouldn't - think like this. Not with Mikari around. The last thing she wanted was for her little angel to be afraid of her. "We need to get out of this forest, Kuri." Her voice was loud but soft. It held an air of confidence but a certain tone of defeat that only Kuri would recognize.
The Shadow Queen might fall from her throne.

Kuri looked over at Kuroi, becoming bored himself. He could see the conflict that she was under-going in her eyes. He nodded quickly, but calmly. He didn't know which was was which in the forest. But he did know a way that they could get out of here, extremely fast. ”Kuroi, I don't want to have to do this, but get Mikari away from me a little” Kuri's eyes started to glow a little brighter as fire quickly covered his entire body. The flames slowly started to become hotter, as the slowly changed colour, from red, to a light blue, that slowly became darker. The flames then suddenly took a spike in their heat an ferocity. He began to rise into the air as his flames became a deep purple. The heat radiating from them, was enough to cause anyone who in the immediate vicinity. All that could be seen of his body now, was a bright, solid, glowing image with no specific detail. His hair looked like it had become part of the flames that raged around him and slowly became larger. Perhaps he was just acting irrationally, but it was the only way that he could think of right now, that would result in Kuroi getting out of the forest as quickly as possible. As the flames grew, they started to take the characteristics of large, flaming wings, and then just above his head, the head of a phoenix formed, and and his feet, a phoenix tail. This was his ultimate transformation, his hottest flame, but it would also leave him extremely weak. A spear of flame then began to form in front of Kuri, that was pointed directly at the forest below him, he was going to burn a pathway into the forest, that would allow his family to escape it's clutches with ease. The spear shot out like a beam into the tree's disintegrating them almost instantly as it made it's way up the forest, in a perfectly straight line, straight for the forests edge. His flames roared as they burnt into the forest. When he was done, Kuri's flames disappeared and he dropped to the floor, with just enough energy to stop his fall with Kuromai's crimson energy that slowed him down slightly.
