It was clear night in Obsur, the normally cloudy sky now empty of clouds. The stars sparkled against the black sky and the moon, full tonight, shed its moonlight onto the city. Another abnormal thing was that the town was more quiet then it was at most times. Tonight, it seemed as if the city was like any other city. But nothing is as it appears....
Inside one of the many cafes here, a young woman was getting ready to sing her songs. Though she wasn't human, she appeared to be. The only thing that gave her away was her aura and her voice. The young woman checked her outfit, a shirt that stopped at her skinny stomach and a skirt that was on the short side. Large silver hoop earrings where in her earlobes, standing out from her shortly cut brown hair.
She looked around, bored and waiting for the annoucement. Right on time, the halfblood heard it."And now its time for one of our favorite singers! Ms. Reno Utaki!"Reno, the halfblood, took a breath and stepped from behind the curtains. Some people, regular customers to the cafe, clapped and cheered. The newcomers watched her with curosity, wondering who this girl was. The lights dimmed and once Reno was in place on the stage, the halfblood began to sing."When you walk away You don't hear me say please Oh baby, don't go Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight It's hard to let it go..." [/center] There was a pause in the song, a moment of silence. Reno's golden eyes were closed softly, as if singing a lullaby. Not that she was putting these people to sleep, like she knew she could. If she you haven't guessed by now, she was a mix of Siren and Mortal. Reno continued to sing after a few more moments, this song softer then most she sung. You're giving me too many things Lately you're all I need You smiled at me and said,
Don't get me wrong I love you But does that mean I have to meet your father? When we are older you'll understand What I meant when I said 'No, I don't think life is quite that simple'
When you walk away You don't hear me say please Oh baby, don't go Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight It's hard to let it go
The daily things that keep us all busy all confusing me thats when you came to me and said,
Wish I could prove I love you but does that mean I have to walk on water? When we are older you'll understand It's enough when I say so, And maybe somethings are that simple
When you walk away You don't hear me say please Oh baby, don't go Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight It's hard to let it go
Hold me Whatever lies beyond this morning Is a little later on Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all Nothing's like before Reno continued to sing, eyes open now and shifting her gaze through the crowd. The song wasn't over yet.((Reno's song: www.stlyrics.com/songs/u/utadahikaru6232/simpleandclean241173.html))

The Hell-Angel had been making a lot of trips to the dark city of Obscur. It seemed like the Devil was sending the once purest of angels to do the dirtiest work. Figures. Her form was completely invisible, as was the ghost of the small child standing next to her. Their fingers were locked. Even in the child's spirit form, you could see the faint reminders of scars and bruises from a life on the streets. Her finger was shoved in her mouth. She was on her way to the gates. The gates didn't have a specific place to be, in fact, their location changed frequently -- but every creature that needed to know always found their way back. Now, the gateway was in a giant tree on the outside of town. They stood in front of that tree now, and, after making sure that no one else was around, Siasha waved a hand. The gateways opened, and a dark, red-specked light was revealed. The light could have seemed intimidating to some, scary to others, or some time's even comforting. Siasha lowered herself to the girls height, "Do not be afraid. Walk through those gates and on the other side your spirit guide will be waiting for you. They will help you on your journey. Do you understand?" This was a crucial moment. This was the time when ghosts were born. A ghost is a person who was too afraid to go through the gates , or for whatever reason chose not to. The choice was completely their's, and Siasha would have no decision in the matter of the girls' decision. A small smile pulled at her lips as the girl nodded, "Don't be afraid." she repeated in a whisper. She let go of the girls' hand and held her breath as she disappeared into the twilight light. Siasha watched her disappear, and then turned away. Stretching her wings, she sighed and looked into the sky as she often did. Giving her head a soft shake, Siasha made her way back into town. She let her feet take her where they willed, and she soon found herself in a cafe. She was no longer invisible, but blended into the crowd perfectly. Siasha paid no attention to the girl singing -- she had heard similar voices before. There was little that the Hell-Angel hadn't experienced in the past. Afterall, she had been around for centuries. Siasha stood in the corner, and went undisturbed for some time before she felt someone grab her arm. She jolted slightly, but there was no visible panic on her face as she turned to face this person. Why don't you come join me in the back room for a little....fun? Someone hissed into her ear. "Let go of me." she said in a simple, calm voice. I don't think so. A smirk came to the mans face. Siasha's crimson eyes flashed. Suddenly, the man was yelling and sliding to the floor. His body went into a fit of spasms before he lay still on the floor -- blood pouring from his mouth. Those dammed Daika people.

Reno didn't notce the Hell Angel, only noting that she was fellow member of the crowd. The halfblood couldn't tell what the girl was though. So she continued to sing her song, putting her eyes back onto the girl as she moved into the corner. But Reno also watched as a man approached the girl and whispered into the female's ear. Were they friends?
Reno's question was answered a moment later when the man suddenly was on the floor, first moving then still. What was that customer? The girl looked calm, as if this happened quite often. It was silent in the cafe, all the eyes on either the girl or the corpse of the man. Even the music and Reno's singing had stopped. Then came a shout, breaking the silence. People glared at the female before beggining to move closer, drawing concealed weapons.
Reno jumped from the stage and made her way through the people somehow. She spun on her heel once she was inbetween the menacing friends of the man and the female who was about to be ganged up on. Reno didn't mind when there was a murder, seeing as she had grown up in this city. No, she minded when people ganged up on one girl.
Reno put a hand on her scarlet sword, Yo. She also glared at the man's friends, telling them to back off with her eyes.

Siasha let her eyes linger on the corpse for a second, before his spirit came into view. She stared into what seemed like dead space, as he stared at his corpse before wandering away to be yet another lost ghost. She silently snapped back to reality, however, as she realized a small crowd closing in on her. Her wings instinctively opened, and she tensed in a prepared stance. Her close combat skills were quite good, and she wasn't afraid -- all it took was a touch and they would be dead. Yes, this gift from the Underworld had saved her life many times, and though she hated it, she would take no hesitation in using it. Though, she knew this was all unnecessary, she could easily just disappear -- that is, until the singer from before had to barge in. "Idiot." she muttered under her breath. She was in no mood to be messed with today, and hadn't expected such a confrontation to occur. Now, however, instead of easily being able to slip away, she felt obliged to stay around with this other girl. She stepped forward and to the girls side. "I don't need your help." she muttered under her breath, her eyes slowly wandering over the faces that surrounded her. A few looked hesitatant, but a lot of the others were eager to slice their throats. Siasha's position itself was defensive -- she wasn't a pushover, but she also wasn't going to go through the entire death process again just to come back.

Reno had a small smile in place when she heard the girl's words. Yea, the halfblood was an idiot at times like now. But she couldn't help it, therefore it was allowed. Some people hesitated now that Reno was there too, with two long swords on her waist. But some of them didn't, so Reno took her hand from the swords. "Cover you ears." the halfblood said, a smile still in place.
Reno, after giving time for the Hell Angel to do so, turned her gaze back to the people in the cafe. She took a breathe before speaking. Sleep. Reno said, her voice using what was left of her Siren's blood. And, in a moment, everyone who's ears hadn't been covered (apart for other Sirens, Reno, or someone deaf) would tak ea nice nap.

Siasha fought the urge to roll her eyes. Keeping her calm composure, she kept her body tensed and used her wings to cover her ears -- and eyes in the process. Siasha couldn't hear what was going on exactly, but she knew when it was safe enough to lower her feathery companions. At the sight of all the drowsy people in the cafe, Siasha let herself relax and folded her wings against her back. "Thank you." she said politely, in a soft voice with a quick nod. In her own mind, she was slightly irritated, but that didn't show in her face. Looking away from the girl, she scanned the room only to find that there weren't any others still awake. Oh well, it was their bedtime anyway. The moon had been out for hours, but Siasha herself found that she was not tired. She rarely was.

Reno turned back to the Hell Angel, smiling with a mischeivous tint to her eyes. Everyone had either collapsed into sleep or had staggered to a booth and were fast asleep. Either way, everyone seemed to not be awake. The halfblood noticed the girl's wings but didn't comment. It wasn't her business to ask what the girl was, but Reno might if they stayed together for a while.
"No problem. So where are ya planning to head to now?" Reno asked, not wishing to stay in the sleeping cafe. If the girl was going to allow her, the halfblood wanted to stay with the other female. She seemed interesting.

Right on time. she thought as something pulled at the back of her mind before taking over her vision entirely. Reno would only have seen Siasha get a distant look as her new Target came to her. It was rare for the Hell-Angel, to receive another Target so soon after delivering another. But, complain as she will, it had to get done, and she wasn't going to argue with her employer. "The Desert Klisha." she answered before walking towards the door. She opened it and looked over her shoulder, "Are you coming?" she asked, waiting for her.

Reno smiled as the Hell Angel named her destination. Unlike most people with Siren blood, the halfblood didn't mind dry climates. Reno, making sure not to step on the surrounding bodies, made her way out of the cafe behind the other girl. It was nice to have company, seeing as she travelled with out any companions.
"But of course, my lady. The name's Reno. Got it memorized?" Reno said, fake bowing to the Hell Angel on the first sentence. After she finished speaking, the halfblood took in a deep breathe of the warm night air. It was a pleasent scent, though most people thought it would be a much different smell for the town full of death.

Siasha smiled softly, "My name is Siasha, it is nice to meet you, Reno." she replied before walking out the door. It would be nice, to have someone to talk to. They didn't have to be the best of friend, nor would they really even have to speak, it was just having someone else there. The night was warm, and wonderfully so. Though, even with the bright moon, the sky was still hazy and the world dark in a very foggy way. It would be a long walk to the Desert. Normally, Siasha would just teleport to her Target, but not only did she doubt that Reno had teleporting abilities, but she felt like walking. But would her Target be happy to be given more time, or just have to suffer even longer? It was a question she only allowed herself to turn over in her mind once before she pushed it back. "Where do you come from, Reno?" she asked after letting the silence stretch for a few moments.

Reno didn't really know where she had come from. Sure, she lived in this city most of the time, but she didn't know where her parents where and where she had grown up. "You could say I'm from here. Don't know and don't care where I grew up." Reno said, shrugging. It was odd enough that he wasn't a purebred species and even odder that he had a Mortal's and Siren's blood in her. Most Sirens killed the human males they captured.
Reno began to walk in the direction of the desert, humming to herself one of the many songs she liked. "Where did you come from Siasha?" Reno said, turning around and walking backwards, avoiding obstacles in her way with ease. She was used to walking backwards so she even put her hands joined behind her head as she looked at the Hell Angel.

Siasha smiled knowingly, and let silence settle on them both before speaking. She sighed and looked up, "It's been so long, I can't remember." It saddened her some times, that she was unable to remember her family, but then again, a lot of things made her sad these days. No, not so much as saddness, how could you be sad about something you never knew you had? No, this was curiosity. A curiosity that seemed to pull at her very soul. "The only thing I remember is my death -- and as you can imagine it's not something I care to think about often." she chuckled darkly, returing her gaze to Reno. Luckily, the cafe they had been in wasn't far from the city's edge, and they were nearing it now. Siasha knew these parts well, and had little trouble weaving her way through the winding main and backroads. The clusters of buildings were becoming thinner, the roads a little more unkept, and less and less people -- though there hadn't been many people in the core of the city to begin with. "I think you're lying, you know." she said after a few moments, "I think you do care...just not enough to go looking for you answer." she laughed softly.

Reno smiled a bit at Siasha's last words to her. The halfblood couldn't find the answers either way, so why care about something that was impossible? "It's not possible to get my answers for one simple reason. I'm an impossible offspring." Reno said with a wink and small laugh as well. But Reno's laugh was warmer and a bit louder.
Sirens killed the humans they lured in with their singing. Sirens and other sirens only had kids together, not with their prey. But some human and Siren had broken that rule, thus making Reno. The halfblood turned around since they were nearing the edge of the city and lowered her pace so the Hell Angel could catch up with her.

Siasha laughed, "Not impossible, my friend, unlikely, but most certainly not impossible." she replied. She had been relaxed during their stroll so far, but now became a little more aware of their surroundings. Her crimson eyes took everything in calmly, but she knew it would be hard to escape those piercing orbs. They were entering a forest, one that was particularly large. On the other side would be a spacious prairie, and then the desert. It would no doubt take a least two days to get there -- assuming they didn't run into any problems on their way. Hmmm, I wonder if she would still stay if she knew what I did...What I've done... Siasha thought as the trees closed in around the pair. This was when things could get very dangerous, very fast.

Reno laughed again when Siasha spoke. "From what you've seen, can you tell me what I am? Most people get it wrong the first guess." Reno said as they walked into the forest. The halfblood liked the forest, unlike most people who passed through it. The forest's tall trees usually blocked all of the sunlight and sometimes some bloodthirsty things wound up in the darkness, but Reno didn't mind.
But even though she liked it, Reno drew both of her blades carefully. People had been getting attacked more often recently and the halfblood wasn't willing to be one of those people. The strangest thing about the incidents were that when the victim was alive, they didn't say anything about who or what did it. God knows what secrets this forest held.
