The night in Obscur had brought out life the second the moon had risen. Stars twinkled down to the busy streets and many vendors were calling out their products. Most people didn't see this side of Obscur, afriad of how the city might change when darkness appeared. It was a pretty dangerous city, wether it was day or night. But to some that was part of the charm.
Reno was walking down one of the main streets slowly, taking in the sights. She was wearing one of her pairs of black pants along with a shirt that stopped above her thin stomach. And, as per usual, her brown hair was down and moving as she walked.
Most humans, especially female humans, near came around this town. Even during the day, most purebred humans didn't dare go through it. Reno may have been part human but it didn't mean she was afriad of the dark city. In fact, Reno embraced the city of darkness. The beautiful Obscur.
XxX
Roxiri flapped her black wings again, wondering how late into the night it was. She wasn't tired, seeing as she usually slept at random times. Her long black had changed to shoulder length so it wouldn't whip into her face from the wind. But besides the change in hair and her new wings, the shapeshifter looked normal.
Roxiri and Balenth, the dragon, were heading to Obscur to uncover more things about Axel. Apparently there was a group here that could help and maybe even point them in the right direction for Axel's real parents.
The shapeshifter felt another pang of anger at the thought of what Axel's parents had done. Why would they abandon the sweet child, a mere baby at the time, to purebred humans that hated mixed blood? Either way, they were at the edge of Obscur, lights lit now that the city was alive. Roxiri buried her anger, instead focusing on the thought that she could run into her haflblood friend here, Reno. And she would be able to help Axel.

Balenth flew behind Roxi with only his wings out. It was still very tiring for him to do do this, but if he turned into a dragon he would have past Roxiri and left her behind. When he saw the lights of Obscur he was glad that he was going to have a chance to land and get rid of the wings he had let out. He wondered if it would have been better to fly as a dragon. His black scales would have hidden perfectly in the night sky. The only problem would be the landing point. He would have need a large enough space to land and change back without people noticing it. He shook his head, it was already to late for that.
He pulled out his change purse and placed in a much safe place within his clothing. He did not need to have his money stole while he was visiting this city. He then caught up to Roxiri and looked at her. "Can you call me Azum while we are here. It's no that I don't like you calling by my real name, but there are thing associated with that name that are better kept a secret." He did not want to mention that if anyone in that city had lived for a long time, they would know who he was. He did not want to cause a ruckus in this place.
He then flew ahead of Roxiri and land on a roof. As he landed his wings returned to his body and his clothing returned normal. He stood up and waited for Roxiri to join him. The roof itself was not to high from the ground so he could jump down without much difficulty. He had chosen to land on a roof then going through the front gate.

Reno looked up, swearing she had seen something in the sky. Maybe a flicker of something flying? The halfblood shook her head, wondering if she needed to start sleeping at night instead of during the day. But then she wouldn't be able to see the city come alive and she would only really see the humans and other daylight creatures. She didn't have anything against humans but the halfblood prefered creatures that lived in the darkness.
xXx
Roxiri nodded, remembering how Balenth had gone by Azum at first. The shapeshifter didn't ask for any other explainations. She landed on the roof beside the dragon, carefully pulling in her wings before they disappeared. It was good to be a shapeshifter at times like this.
Roxiri's hair grew even shorter and turned the colors of fire. Her eyes became amber and she nodded at Balenth. Her figure changed to that of a boy's around her age. She was in the form of a fire elemental. This way people wouldn't try to do anything to them. Her clothes were already just black pants and a black tanktop (two tears in the back that weren't very noticable) so it wasn't like she stuck out. It was just better to go into town in a different form. "So what's the plan?" she asked, her voice also changed into a male's.

Balenth chuckled at the question. He had not thought about what he was going to do when he got there. He had one goal in mind and that was to find the people on the paper. He knew where were located here but he had no idea where. The barkeeper had not told him where to find them, only that they were located in this city. There had to be some people here that knew where to find the group that he was looking for. "I do not have one. I just planning to find the group and just ask them straight out." He wondered whether he should go to a bar and get more information, but what happened after last time he went to a bar.
He walked to the edge of the roof and looked down. He wanted to make sire not land in front of another person or land on top of them. seeing no one he jumped down and landed with little difficulty. He stood up straight and found himself looking straight at a female. He smiled. "Sorry about that. I did not see you there." He then looked to see if Roxiri had joined them. He hoped that she had not done the same thing.

Reno was walking down the street, wondering if there was anything to do tonight. She had a night off from singing so she didn't to just head to the cafe she sung at. After all, she spent almost every spare moment of her time in the cafe. She lived in the second story of it as well, so it wasn't like she was ever far from it. So tonight she wanted to find something else to do.
Her prays to someone (who was she supposed to pray to?) payed off in a strange way. Suddenly something jumped down from a nearby roof, right in front of her. Reno stopped just in time, barely not tripping or stepping on the person. "Not a problem! For a second I thought you were something else though. I don't reccomend jumping off anymore building though. If ya land on someone it wouldn't be a very pretty picture." the halfblood said, smiling.
xXx
Roxiri laughed as Balenth admitted to not having a plan. How would they find the group? Apparently all they knew was that the group was somewhere around this city. But this city held a lot of secrets, including secret places. It would probably take forever to find the right group.
Roxiri laughed again as the dragon almost landed on someone. She jumped down as well, a foot away from the person and Balenth. The shapeshifter looked up, did a double take, and smiled a huge smile. Her male form melted away and she launched herself at Reno. "RENO!" Roxiri yelled, wrapping her arms around the older female. "Azum! This is the girl I was talking about! The singer!" Roxiri babbled, hugging the halfblood still.

Balenth looked at Reno with surprise. Normally people would be surprise when someone landed in front of him. She was not surprised at his sudden appearance. "Well it was not like there were any stairs to go down." It was true, but even if there where stairs he wanted to jump down off the roof. It would have taken too long to walk down the stairs. He wondered why a female would be walking around alone at night in such a place. It was dangerous here whether it was at night or during the day. She had to be good at taking care of herself if she walked around so causally. It then hit him, she lived here, there might be some clue where to find this group was in this city.
He was about to ask her name when Roxiri hugged the female in front of him. He took a step back and smiled. So she was Roxiri's friend that lived here. What incredible luck they had. Though he wondered if she did know anything about this group. "Aren't we lucky. We found her right here and now he could find her." He let the two hug each other not wanting to interfere two friends meeting each other after some time.

Reno was slightly surprised as Roxiri's appearence but then smiled and hugged the kid back. After all, Reno was an adult (she didn't act like it though) and Roxiri was just a little thirteen year old. But why was this little girl here? After all, Roxiri rarely came to vist. Especially with company. Either way, the halfblood was happy to see the shapeshifter again. After all, Roxiri was an interesting person. Reno smiled a one ended smile at his response.
xXx
Roxiri smiled as she continued to hug the halfblood. Reno was one of the most fun people she knew and Roxiri loved her to death. She was like a mother of sorts (a strange one to most people) and an older sister rolled into one. "Reno! This is Azum! Me and him are looking for a group around here! You think you could help us?" Roxiri said, excited. After all, Reno did know the city much better then almost anyone else.
xXx
Reno nodded and smiled again at the dragon. So his name was Azum? Nice to see that Roxiri was around new people. People that didn't know about everything. "Nice to meet ya Azum. Like Roxi said, my name's Reno. And I'd be happy to help. What are ya looking for?" Reno said, smiling. Maybe someone was up there watching after the strange halfblood. After all, she now had something to.

Balenth kept looking at the two, but did not let his guard down. They were at a very dangerous area and he was not going to let anything to be sold by another person. He smiled at Reno as Roxiri introduced him to Reno. So they were going to ask for her help. He was happy that Roxiri was friends with her. That meant that he did not have to offer money to pay for the services that he needed. He was even more happy that she was offering her assistance in this search. He knew very little of Obscur and he knew looking alone would be a wild goose chase. He pulled the paper from his pocket and handed it over to Reno.
"Nice to meet you Reno. I am looking for the group written on that piece of paper." Little did Balenth know that the group was a information guild that also performed assassinations. Though the assassination part was not publicly announced. He looked at Reno hoping that she did know something. He did not want to pay someone a ridiculous amount of money to find a location of a building. He could not know if the information needed was accurate if he bought it from some one.

Reno took the paper, looking over it before smiling again. She knew this group quite well! Roxiri should have to, but it seems she had forgotten. "Oi Roxi, you should know where this is! It's Sora's base." the halfblood said, lightly patting Roxiri's head. Why couldn't the girl remember where someone in her travelling ring worked? After all, it was a popular guild.
xXx
Roxiri looked up at Reno questioningly when the older female said she should know where it was. When Reno mentioned that was the guild which Sora worked at, Roxiri smacked her forehead. Of course! No wonder it had looked so familar! Sadly, Sora wouldn't be there since she had headed out for an assassination and had said it would take a few days. Oh well, Roxiri and Reno both knew what they were looking for now.
"Then lead the way Reno!" Roxiri exclaimed, looking around. She couldn't remember where it was, but she knew what the guild building looked like. For information Roxiri would have to confirm that she was in fact Roxiri Gray, Sora's friend. She shiverred for a moment, remembering the way to do so. They would have to cross that bridge when they got there though.

Balenth looked at the two not knowing what they were talking about. He had meet Sora and knew she was an assassin, but he had not known for whom she worked for. So the bartender had sent them to as assassin's guild. Well they were the good for their information. He just hoped that it would not cost him too much money for the information that he needed from them. He looked at both of them wanting to know more about the the group before he meet them. The more information he knew the better spot they would have when trying to get information from them.
He walked up to Roxiri. "Can you tell me more about the group?" He had meet an assassin group before when he was younger. He had helped them get better. He wondered if they had survived to this point. It had been a long time since they had parted and went to get more jobs. They had killed for a living, but he had no problem with it since they were no threat to him. He hoped that they had made a name of themselves. He also wondered if the guild had kept the black scale armor he had made from his discarded scales.

Reno sighed, smiling. It had been a while since she had seen the shapeshifter but she seemed better now. Much better then when Reno had found her. The halfblood shook off the thought, not wanting to remember that time. Roxiri was better now. Reno assured herself, looking down at the smiling girl. Yea, Roxi was much under control.
xXx
Roxiri didn't notice the glance at herself from Reno, looking at Balenth instead. "Yeah! They formed a really long time ago and the guild leaders have a tradition of wearing this weird armor. They say it was passed down but its taken care of so it looks new!" Roxiri explained, a smile lighting up her face. One time Sora had said she wanted to become the guild leader, which was when the assassin had told Roxiri all of this.

Balenth shook his head when he heard about the armor. There had to be plenty of guilds that had their own weird traditions so he did not want to raise his hopes. The odds of him meeting them after such a long time is very low. And yet he still hoped that that armor was the same one that he had given that group all so long ago. Balenth did notice Reno's glance but he did not say anything. They obviously had some history but he was not going to pry into it. Everyone had a right to their privacy and to keep their history a secret.
He paused as he looked at the two. He did feel as the odd one out. Though yet he did not matter to him. His goal was not to fit in but to get the information that he needed. He caught up to them. "How far is this place from here. Not that I am in a rush or anything." He did not like to be in this city. From what he had heard about it was not a good place. He did not want to run into any more trouble than they already had run into. He had hurt enough people today.

Reno smiled and patted Balenth on the shoulder. He seemed a little uneasy, which was common for newcomers around this city. "Don't ya worry Azum. This city is much better then most people think. A lot of humans think its horrible place but people like me see this place as a sanctuary." Reno said, smiling at the dragon. A lot of other halfbloods lived in the city, along with many nonhumans. Reno thought that the reason most humans hated the city was because some of them hated mixed blood or because of why the Dragon Hunts started. Some humans just wanted to be the only species.
xXx
As Reno began to walk, Roxiri followed a few feet behind the halfblood, letting Balenth walk beside Reno. Even though it was nice to be around Reno, Roxiri kept having a bad feeling. That memory kept bothering her. Why was it suddenly eating her from the inside again? She had a spaced out look on her face as she followed. Why?

Balenth was glad that Reno was tyring to calm his nerves it made him feel relaxed. Maybe this place was not as bad as he thought it was. He was still not going to let his guard down. He did not want to harm anyone unless he had to. "I see, but's it's not just that. I have been having a bad day today and I do not want to cause harm to another person today." He looked around and found that Roxiri had slowed down behind them. He wondered why she was keeping her distance, but the look on her face made him not want to ask. So instead he turned his attention to Reno.
She lived here so knew much about the city. She had said that this place was a sanctuary to her and he wanted to know why. "Tell me more about this place." If this city was not that bad he had been told he wanted to know more about it. This was also a good chance to learn more about the cities and how much they have changed since he had been asleep.

Reno wondered what had happened to Balenth but didn't ask. "Well, a lot of halfbloods, like me, live here. And unlike most cities, not many human actually live here. So its really nice to be able to get away from the humans and other creatures that hate halfbloods." Reno explained, a fond look in her eyes. Out of all the places Reno had seen (not that many) this was the nicest. Some people just cared too much about the small amount of bad people running around. It was mostly people that hated halfbloods anyway.
xXx
Roxiri trailed behind them absently, wondering what had made the memory bother her again. She hadn't had this problem the other times she had visted Reno. And she didn't want Balenth to know. Even Axel didn't. If Balenth found out, would he still want her to help him? Axel wouldn't want to be with Roxi anymore either. Everyone would leavee the shapeshifter alone and broken again. They just could not find out what she had done...
