>Human< Shadow growled to himself. He hated being chased, but it seemed like they were at it again. It was his own damned fault at any rate. He just had to be there at that wrong time. Right in the middle of that exchange. Now they were after him...or at least the one was. From the glimpse he had got of the man at the meeting, he was certain the man wouldn't give up until he found Shadow.
He was lucky to not be in his wolf form, that would raise even more questions and would get him hunted down even faster. As a human, he was just a man in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he might be able to talk himself out of it if the man ever caught up.
He dove down another alley, moving into a hollow space between one wall and another, standing silently. He could hear the footsteps of the one pursuing him...but one could hope. It wasn't like the meeting was really that important. He hadn't seen much. An exchange, simple one. Information, maybe something else, it had been hard to tell. And when he a turned to leave, the man had seen his movement and gave chase...thats how he ended up here.
He sure hoped no one had connected him with the wolf that had been around the same parts yet. It was nearly impossible of course...but the hair and fur color were very similar...
One step at a time... He had to get away first. He held his breath, waiting.

Tamesis ran through the streets quite quickly. He was angry really angry. Someone had found watched him during a business transaction and that was not good. Secrecy of his clients was a very important policy that he kept. If people knew who he dealt with and who he blackmailed. He had selected that place because no one would show up and therefore the client would be able to keep his secrecy. He had everything set up to be perfect. A quick exchange and he would have had the information of the lifetime. Now he was going to have to pay more for the money and silence that man that had seen what he had done. He quickly turned a corner knowing the streets much better then most people that lived here.
He turned a corner to see the man enter a hollow space. He ran by it hoping to lower the man's guard. He grabbed onto the nearby flag pole and climbed on top of it and waited. That hollow space was a dead end so he had to come out back the way he came in. All he had to do was wait. That man was not going to get away from him and even if he did it would not take long to find him and gather every secret that the man had. After all no one interferes with his business without paying the consequences.

>Human< Tamesis was an informant, one very good with information. It was rather easy to assume that he knew the streets well. Shadow could assume a great many things from just the man's appearance and the meeting itself. He had been watching people himself for quite some time. He was a keeper of information much the same as Tamesis was. Most of it was irrelevant and not very important, but one picked up a few things when they were slinking the the shadows around the city.
One thing that made him suspicious already was that the man flew right by him. Didn't even bother to check the place where Shadow was hiding. Had he been someone else, Shadow would have assumed that it meant that Tamesis was in a hurry and was chasing after him as fast as possible and assumed he wouldn't hide out in broad daylight... But the man's choice of career said something different.
He didn't go outside of the hole yet. He had to think this through. The man was probably watching and waiting right now. He had heard the footsteps fade off...but they stopped a little ways away. He was a good judge of distance, the man was still here.
He really only had one option that he could think of: A bluff.
"So, you saw right through the old 'Hide in the hole in the wall' trick didn't you?" Shadow called out from where he hid, not moving.

Tamesis remained there not moving. He kept his breath shallow and avoided any unnecessary movement. All he had to do was wait until the man came out. Luckily his plans for the rest of day had been cleared for the meeting that had been ruined. He was not going to do anything that would give this man a chance to escape. He kept his gaze on the entrance ready to move when the men would leave the small alley. He did not even react when the man spoke to him. No he could not do anything rash and give away more then he had to. If he spoke then the man would have confirmation that he was still here waiting and watching the entrance for the man to get out.
Of course that was not the only reason he did not say anything. He knew very little about the man he was chasing and in his business that was a dangerous thing. He knew very little about the man's abilities or even if he was human. He had not the chance to use his ability to check. So he was going to make sure that he was not going to make the first move and reveal himself. He was going to wait and let the other man keep guess about what he was doing.

>Human< Quiet. That meant the other man was serious. Great. There wouldn't be any talking himself out of this one then. That left only one other option, but he was hesitant to take it. If he did, the man would know far too much about him...and he would probably have to leave the city not to return. That would ruin his gig here, and he really didn't feel like ending it quite yet, however bad it was. At least it was something.
He would almost say that he knew the man was out there, but it was hard to tell. He had heard the stop... But no noise had since come from that direction and he was listening hard. Shadow clenched his right hand into a fist. Well, he was lucky to have gotten this far anyway. "Alright, look. You don't want to talk, I don't want to move. Let's meet in the middle. You come over and I'll come out."

Tamesis stayed there and waited for his target's next move. He smiled slightly with that thought. He felt like an assassin waiting for their target to have an opening so he could kill them. It was rare opportunity for him since he normally did not get to do this. His men would do this for him. No the most stalking he did was waiting for his target to leave their home so he could break in and gather the information that he needed. This was completely different and gave him a different rush. He blinked and waited. It was really an adrenaline rush. However he was not going to let his target know that.
When he heard the voice again he smiled even more. It looked like the man knew that he had no other option and was trying to find a compromise. The problem was that the man had no cards to play in this game. He had the advantage and Tamesis knew that. He was not going to give that away. Though he was going to say something. "You ruined a very important deal I had going. I really hate when people ruin my business. So tell me, how are you going to make it up to me?"

>Human< Perfect. With that... The man gave away enough for Shadow to find an opening. When he spoke, Shadow traced the sound back to its roots. Up in the air, a good distance away. Just what he needed to know.
"I don't know if I can. But I'll tell you what. You decided to speak, so I'll give you something in return." Shadow stepped out, his eyes already finding where Tamesis was hidden. It was a beautiful thing really, the senses of a werewolf. "Why don't you come over and we can talk some terms. I'm sure we can come to some agreement."
Shadow knew he was stalling and bluffing his own position, and he doubted that the man would forgive him so easily, but it was worth a try. And if he could get the man close enough... Well, the man didn't know the one thing that would save him if they got into a scuffle. Shadow still held an ace, and Tamesis knew nothing about it. It was the only hope Shadow had.

Tamesis smiled at the man, but he did not move. For all he knew this could be another trap his father had set up. He could not be entirely sure since he had not heard of any movements of his father of late. He had hoped that the man would take a break and consider his options. It was not like he would not work for him, he just did not want to only work for him. He liked controlling the streets. It gave him the power that his father would never give him. No he had to be careful in case this man was trying to kill him. He knew very little about him and that was probably why he was so bothered by this all.
He knew he could very well just use his sight and see what the man was, but it would not tell him the intentions he had. So he held himself back. He pulled out one of his daggers and threw it so it flew by Shadow and landed in the crate behind the man. "I like to keep my distance from strangers. As you can see I am much more dangerous like that. And by the looks of it you are much more dangerous at close combat. It it does come to a fight I do want an advantage." It was true to survive in the streets of Yamanash, one did not need to be strong. They needed to be smart and have money. The two things that Tamesis was blessed with. Though he had earned the latter.
"You see I have trust issues. Until I know you you will be treated like a treat. And well you got off on a very wrong start if I have to say so myself. And yet you still want to talk this over. You need to prove to me that you are to be trusted before I even consider forgiving you." Tamesis number one rule was money and information earned trust. The second were friends, while convient to have, need to be watched even more carefully. It was a creul way of thinking, but he had learned the hard way that all he could really trust was money and information. At time the Prince. He did keep his word, unlike many other nobles.

>Human< Shadow smiled as Tamesis did. He didn't know the informant's background, and he wasn't about to try to fake it. His best chance as he saw it was for the man to come to him, where he could fight much better than anyone else.
As the dagger flew by him, Shadow remained perfectly still, his heightened senses telling him that the dagger was going to miss before it got close enough to really do any harm. He didn't let it show though. That was crucial. He couldn't show this man that he was anything other than a man out of his luck who had accidentally stumbled on to Tamesis's little meeting.
Shadow turned at the end of the man's line, walking over to the crate and picking up the blade. He turned quickly, flipping the blade over and over in his hand, his gaze on it to show that he really was harmless. Nothing more than a man who had barely ever seen a dagger before in his life. The funny part was, that was usually true.
The wolf's gaze lifted to Tamesis again, holding up the dagger in an elevated open palm. "I can see the advantage sir. Why you chose to throw a dagger at me of all things...and why you decided to miss... I'm still working that one out." Shadow casually tossed the blade to the foot of the flagpole.
"Dangerous at close combat? Now look, sir. I don't have any weapons. I stumbled on to your meeting, and I did the only natural thing when you get in that kind of situation. I ran." Shadow held his empty hands up to prove his point about being unarmed.
"You don't have to trust me if you don't want to, but I'd very much like to move on from here and on to the rest of my day. So if you want to stay there, I'll take my leave." Shadow did a small bow before turning and walking slowly away.

"Tch." Tamesis was not happy. This man was not a normal man. No a normal man would have flinched in fear of the dagger, but this man did nothing. He definitely used to fighting. This man was starting to annoy him. He tried to act like he was harmless, but anyone experienced in fighting would know that it was a lie.He chuckled when he thought of what Yasu would say if he saw him in this situation. Though Tamesis had to admit that this man was giving away more then he thought by his mannerisms. He scowled at the man as he turned to leave. How dare he insult the king of the streets.
"You're a terrible liar. Well you might be a good liar to normal people, but seriously trying to fool an information broker. My kind are addicted to gathering information and that is what we are best at. The only people capable of fooling information brokers are other information brokers and maybe psychopaths. " Tamesis then snapped his fingers and his guards appeared at the ends of the alleyway. "You body language and actions contradict your words. A normal person would have ducked or flinched at my dagger you did not. Which means you have combat experience. Oh and just because you do not 'weapon' does not mean you are not good at close combat. A well trained body is a good weapon."
"Since you are obviously not an assassin sent by my father or you would have taken the chance to kill me when we were alone, who are you really?" Tamesis said hoping down from the pole with ease. He kept his distance away from the stranger not willing to test his combat skills.

>Human< Shadow stopped in his tracks and grounded his teeth together. Not good. Guards. Blocking his way. He really didn't want this to get violent... But if he had to fight to get himself out of here... He would.
The wolf bowed his head, shaking his head. "I don't like confined spaces." He said quietly, but loud enough for Tamesis to hear. It was a warning, but the threat in it was well hidden. Contrary to what Tamesis thought, he hadn't had the chance to kill him. If he had, the information broker would be dead and Shadow would be long gone.
"I'm a man who wants to go on his way." Shadow glanced back at the information broker at that, watching Tamesis's new position below the pole with calculated weariness. If he had to...
Trained guards... No more than six. He'd only have to kill two. He'd be hunted after that. Or... He could kill Tamesis... But then he'd have to add the entire guard regimen to the people killed. He couldn't have witnesses. Not with a man as influential as this man obviously was.
Shadow counted time, watching the guards behind Tamesis and the man himself, considering his options.

Tamesis sighed and then looked at the men in front of him. He really did not want them to fight this strangers. Corpses did not make him money whether they were his people or that man. No all he wanted was some sort of compensation for the deal that the man had ruined. Was it so hard. He knew that it would take at least another month to set up another meeting if he could get the man to agree to it. He sighed again. This was too troublesome. He should have left the hunting of this man to another person. Getting tired of this game he activated his sight to see if this man was a normal human. What he saw made him smile. He quickly turned it off.
"I don't want to be here either. I can be earning much more money by doing something else." Tamesis said. He then walked up to the man and smiled. He was going against everything he had said before but what he learned was far to amusing. He had met many different species before but this was the first for him. He paused for a second as he pas by the man. "You should be careful wolfy boy, unless you want you secret revealed to the city," he whispered without looking up. He then walked past him and stopped at his guards. He turned around and looked at the man. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone." He then paused and smiled again. "Yet"
He then pushed his guards aside. "I had no intention of confining you to a tight space. I personaly hate that myself."

>Wolf< No... He knew. How could he know?! The man was human damn it! He couldn't let the broker get away... No, not any more. Tamesis was past his guards, but there was still time. Shadow shifted as fast as he could, launching himself after the informant. The black wolf took a few leaps forward and then launched himself at the closest guard, his teeth latching on to the unsuspecting guard's throat. They had both turn to follow the informant, a perfect opportunity for Shadow to attack.
Shadow crunched down even as he rode the guard's body down, severing the man's spine, already setting his sights on the next guard, blood dripping from his maw as he stepped away from the corpse.
The second guard went for his weapon, but Shadow was ready. Just another day as a wolf. The black wolf jumped forward again, moving this time to only knock the guard down, colliding with the guard's chest. If he did it right, it would catch the guard off-guard and he wouldn't have to worry about the weapon, because it would slip out of the guard's grip as he collided with the ground.
And then...next... He simply tore out the guard's throat.
It was a shame, it really was, but he had already predicted that at least 2 guards would have to die... The blood was on Tamesis hands now though. He just had to provoke the wolf...

Tamesis turned to see the man killing his guards. He looked at their bodies and frowned. Was there really a need to kill them, he thought to himself. He covered his mouth to keep himself from vomiting. He had seen people die before but never this close. He had always kept his distance and avoided being close to people if they had to be killed. He could not help but feel sick. He wanted to look look away but he knew that he could not or he would create an opening for the wolf to attack. He was not going to allow that. He had to keep his guard up.
When the rope feel down in front of him he grabbed onto it and allowed himself to be pulled up. He needed to get off the ground quickly. He quickly found himself on the lowest roof. He knelled down and vomited. He could not hold himself back any longer. He got up and looked down at the Wolf. It had made an enemy of him today and he would regret it.
"I don't care what it takes capture that creature alive and put it in a cage. Guard every exit and do not let him leave the city. I want him alive." Tamesis said. The man beside him left to deliver is massage to everyone in the city. There was no way he was getting close to that creature unless it was in a cage. He looked at it. He had not wanted to be so cruel to the man but he had killed two man in cold blood. There was no way he could let him run free on his streets.
