>Wolf< Shadow wagged his tail at the word 'Steak' and quickly followed after her. It had been so long since he had last stayed in a house. He had been between living places for a while now...and none were quite so good as an actual house. An actual home.
The arrived soon after and Shadow was somewhat in a state of shock. That he was able to get this chance today suprised him, in a good way. And it couldn't be a nicer person offering it to him.
Thanks by the way. What is your name?

She walked next to the wolf smiling as his tail wagged from the word steak My house is just past these next few trees She thought about her house, how two words, which typically mean the same thing are so different. Just a few months ago that house used to be a home. Now to her it was a pile of painted white wood. It is a beautiful house, two stories with a wrap around porch and balcony. Each having easy access from the rooms on that floor with stairs on the backside of the house, where both of them are extended to three times the width of the rest of the balcony and porch. She would paint off the back of the balcony, where you could easily see the lake since the back yard was a private beach. Her mother loved those paintings. Her mother would also paint off of the balcony at Kaydence's age. She grew up in this house, the only reason why Kaydence hasn't sold it off yet. It meant a lot to her mother, this was the house where Kaydence and Jacob had been conceived by her parents. Sure it was a gross thought but it was also sweet in a way. Her parents were high school sweet hearts also. So for nights like prom, her mother would descend down the spiral stair case while her father watched in awe. He proposed to her down by the lake on the shore. Those were the memories that made this house a home. The memories that took it away though... they were just horrible. her brother died in the closet that she shared with him, all of the rooms besides the master bedroom were adjoined. In that closet he also raped her. Her parents fought a lot in the den. They thought it was sound proof but it wasn't. Every day "Honey will you meet me in the den?" "Yes, just give me a minute.". Within thirty second of them being in there alone, her mother would get slapped and she would start screaming. This was a broken home. Just a place that she could stay.

>Wolf< Shadow moved out from behind Kaydence and ran to the porch, exploring the area. For the first time he let himself go. He had spent so long keeping himself on rough routines, avoiding people. Staying in shadows, only going out after dark, and absolutely never able to just go where he wanted to go. It was always determined by the time and the people around. But now... He was free to do what he wanted. To explore, to see, to be himself; a wolf.
Scents that he never had the time to pay attention to before drove his curiosity as he continued exploring. The closest he ever got to this was the lake, where he could go and do what he wanted without having to worry about hunters and other people.
He didn't take too long though, Kaydence was already walking up to the door. He quickly moved away from a particularly well scented piece of wood and stood next to her, waiting for her to open the door.
He didn't know what he thought about her right now, or this house, but he would figure it all out in time. He nosed her left hand as he waited for her at the door.

She smiles opening the door after petting his muzzle. Welcome home. Make yourself at home, just do your...business outside. She laughed softly as she walked right toward the kitchen letting him explore. She dug through the kitchen finding the steak she promised and pulled out some left over pasta for herself popping the pasta in the microwave

>Wolf< Shadow didn't go far. He watched Kaydence move into the kitchen before going into the living room himself and jumping onto the couch. Something comfortable to lay on... Also something that he missed and hadn't had the chance to take for granted over these past years. The ground was hard, even as a wolf, with fur to brace himself against the packed concrete and, at times, dirt.
While laying there, he explored the room with his eyes, passing time until Kaydence brought out the steak.

She smiles as she walks in the room with his steak. She teased him a bit by starting a fire first then sitting next to him. She just sat there for about two minutes, holding the steak, completely silent. Then she tossed him the steak and got up to go get her pasta. Enjoy boy!

>Wolf< Shadow watched her enter the room with a eager wag of his tail, however, his tail slowed as she first went to the fireplace to start a fire first. His tail sped up once more when she walked toward him again, but once more, it again slowed down as she just seemed to stare off into space, silent...and more importantly, just holding his steak there...just out of reach.
He had to wait for what seemed like forever before she finally turned and tossed it to him, but he still caught it. After all, he had been waiting for it for a while, and anxiety and anticipation helped with coordination. Especially with him and food.
He quickly and happily began tearing into the steak, ripping off junks of it with his sharp teeth and strong jaws and swallowing fast, only chewing enough to get the flavor in his mouth. Oh how he loved steak...and oh how he missed it...
Some special thanks were in order when he finished his steak. He'd make sure to show Kaydence how grateful he was.

She gets her pasta and another steak going to sit in the living room next to the wolf and tosses him the other steak. She started to eat her pasta watching the fire. She would live in front of a fireplace if she wanted, it is just so pretty and romantic. Plus it gave her warmth. She pulled her knees up to her chest while she ate. She completely forgot that she had wet clothes on but remembered when she started smelling like a lake.

>Wolf< Shadow was just swallowing the last bit of the first steak when Kaydence came back in and tossed another. He didn't pause, he caught it in one fluent motion and continued his feast, ripping apart the new steak now instead.
The black wolf had known about Kaydence's wet clothes the whole time, but hadn't said anything. He assumed it was just what she did, as he had his own habits with clothes. Come to think of it... His only pair were still at the lake on the tree he had left them on. He was prone to picking up articles of clothes in his raids and replacing the ones he already had, in essence, always having new clothes to wear. Those just happened to be his latest ones.
Well... He'd just have to go out later and grab them when Kaydence was occupied with sleeping or the like. His mind inevitably wandered back to the steak, though. The flavor and texture made him forget everything else. One didn't come between a wolf and his meat. Even thoughts.

She looks at him and realized they left his clothes back at the lake. There are clothes upstairs from my brother and my dad if you need some. She finished her pasta and put the container in the kitchen calling out to the wolf in the next room. I'm going to take a shower, If you need me I'm upstairs. My brothers room is the first on the left at the top of the stairs. She walked up the stairs turning to the right and goes into the bathroom starting a shower.
