Tyr pondered his question for about a quarter of a second. All that the bastard's father told her was his name, and the place he'd most likely be hanging out. If she hadn't went ahead and grabbed a little more information on him herself, there wouldn't be any consideration time whatsoever. " He told me absolutely nothing. That's why you aren't dead right now. If he had given me more information, I wouldn't have wondered about you, and just did my job.' She said with a slight shrug and a bit of a smirk. He had really been lucky that his father didn't give her more information, like why he wanted his own son dead, what kind of business that Tamises ran, among other details.
She shrugged a little at the second part of his statement. She was used to danger. In her experience danger wasn't really all that dangerous after one knew that it was present. She remembered a quote that one of her masters used to say whenever he got the chance 'A trap is no longer a trap if the prey is aware of it.' Which of course meant that a trap against you can become your own ambush if you know about the trap. That was an absolute truth in her opinion. She was quite arrogant when it came to her power, as long as she was prepared for a fight.
Just as it was with the pirates. She had just enough time to prepare for the attack because of the distance they had been away from them when they were spotted. If it had been much less, she was pretty sure that many more would have gotten within range and it was a pretty sure thing that she and maybe Tamises would have been either captured or died." Well, continue, even though it won't matter, now that we know people are after us. If they show themselves they will die." She said, still smirking a little, turning her head from him to look out the window at the city that spread out before them and that had started to expand quickly as they approached.

Tamises was slightly relieved that she did not know anything about his powers. Yet at the same he knew it would take some time to explain everything. He turned on his sight and looked at the kid. "This kid is not fully human though I doubt he knows it. I can see his ears and tails. AS for when I look at you I get a distortion which I guess was due to your powers. Though when you use your powers I can see which areas you are focusing on. You might want to know why I am saying this. The answer I can see people's true form, but there is more then that. Its more that I can see the truth that I am looking for whether it is in a person or a piece of paper. My father wanted to keep this ability to himself and that is why he wants me dead. Though it might not seem like an important ability, there are plenty of people who want their secrets kept a secret and who would want a person who can see your secrets around them. It is a dangerous ability, but not noticeable unless you know what to look for." He turned off his sight and everything returned to normal. His did not like to use that ability for long periods of time.
"It seems like some beyond the small group that I know has discovered my gift and wants me alive. The problem is I do not know the origins of my gift or if there is anything related to it. Understand that I would not be telling you this unless it was necessary. NO amount of money could buy the knowledge that I am telling you right now," he leaned back on his seat. He was still not sure if telling her this was the right thing to do, but she did not want her to get misinformation about his ability and what it can do. He had no idea if they were even going to get attacked in the city. Though he was sure that it was much easier for a person to disappear in Obscur then it was back home. He quickly looked out the window and saw that they were approaching the gates of Obscur. Their ride was going to come to an end soon. Which meant the real work was about to start for him. No more sitting around and waiting for something to happen.
He picked up his jacket and put it back on. There was no way that he was going to leave it here. Who knew what the driver would do with it. He already knew he was not going to be happy when he saw the blood on the floor of the carriage. He looked at Tyr and then at the kid. What were they going to do with him. They could not just leave him here. It would not be the right thing to do, but was he worth taking along. He just could not trust the kid enough to let him go with his knowledge, but killing him seemed to harsh.

Tyr pondered what he was saying for a few moments. None of this really mattered, though she did have valuable information now. Try grinned and asked simply "What do you see when you look at yourself like that in the mirror?" Her tone was flat, just a simple musing that she spoke out loud. Or maybe not. She was looking at him like it wasn't a rhetorical question. She did kinda want to know. It would be good to know if his power worked on things he saw in reflections or not.
It wasn't long until they had actually reached the interior of Obscur. The exterior of the carrage was a registered travel vehicle, and warranted no check. She didn't know whether or not she would have been hauled away by the guards of the city for what she had done last time she was here trying to gather information, but she didn't want to chance it. She sat back against the seat and leaned her head against the paneling of the carrage, closing her eyes. Her eyes were the biggest giveaway for who she was, since they were a somewhat rare crimson color. Well, rare in humans at least.
They passed the gates with no hitches, the guards that had looked through the windows from their posts hadn't seen anything suspicious when they passed. They trundled their way down the streets, and she opened her eyes when she heard the driver ask where to drop them off. Tyr shrugged and motioned toward Tamises " You get to pick our lodgings." She said with a bit of a grin since she was going to make him pay anyway. The big bag of money she had given him should be quite enough for any of their expenses for the duration of their stay, as well as a goodly sum left over, unless they went completely overboard.

Tamises did not answer at first. He did not know how to answer the question. Luckily he did not have to answer as they made it to the interior of Obscur. He was prepared if they got inspected but he preferred that they did not. He did not want them to see the injured prisoner that was sitting on the floor still asleep. Luckily they did not check the so there was no explanation required. He leaned back on his seat and held back a yawn. He was getting slightly bored again. His mind jumped back to the question she had asked earlier. "I do not know. I have never tried to look at myself in the mirror. There is some information that one does not need to know." He was afraid to find out that he was not a human, but something else. There were not many people that could see things that he could and be human.
He then pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to the driver. It was an address towards safe house in the city. Some of his members used it while in the city. He was sure that there was someone already there in the house so they should be there to pick them up. If they had not been attacked he would have stayed there, but for now they needed to stay somewhere he would not normally go to. However he needed to drop the information that he was carrying with him off. He did not need others to see what was in that dossier. As they pulled up to the address he got up quickly stepped out of the carriage. "Don't move. I will be right back." He made his way to the door and met up with the person waiting for him there. He handed him the dossier and returned to the carriage. "Take us to the Last Stop Inn." He then reentered the carriage and sat down again.
He had never stayed there before, but he had clients that had stayed there once. He was sure that no one would guess that he would stay there. After ha had no direct connection to the inn. He then turned to Tyr. "Will you stay in the inn or will you escort me as close to the school as you want. It's up to you." He leaned back on his seat waiting for a response. He was not going to waste any time here. He wanted to head back to Sanchu as soon as possible. He could not help but look outside as he passed by others. He could not help but wonder who the person after him wanted and what he looked like. He was nervous, but did not want to show it on his face. He needed to act like a professional in order to get the information that he wanted. He could not allow Tyr to think he could not do this job. His life depended on it.

Tyr cocked her head to the side slightly, a lock of hair sliding from the left side of her face to the right. " You and I both know that information is power. It's not that you don't need to know, but you are scared to know, right?" Tyr's bluntness strikes again. She was merciless when she thought she was right about something. She pushed back the lock of hair with a smirk. She was used to catching and basking in the light that was in his eyes, it was fear, just as she predicted. Then again, she would probably not look in the mirror with that sight, because at first he thought she wasn't human, and that may just be unbearable to her.
Tyr's eyes flicked to the paper, but wasn't able to see the address that was written upon it. She put the curiosity into the back of her mind. She'd see their destination soon enough. Her attention snapped back to him when he asked if she'd come along. She shrugged then nodded. No response other than that should be necessary. She would probably hang out on the roof of a nearby building while he was inside. They would have to come up with a way she would know if he was in trouble while he was inside. She really only had one idea that should work well enough, but if he thought of something better, she'd surely take it into consideration.
Tyr reached into her coin purse and flicked a large copper coin toward him. It flew through the air, nearly touching his nose as it arced upward from her thumb. The coin slowed, then stopped, returning to her hand before it could have a chance of touching him."When you go in, take this. If you get in trouble, throw it out a window. It will return to me, and I'll know you need my assistance." She grinned and flicked the coin again towards him. The coin was flipping end over end, slowing once again, a foot from his face.

Tamises face did not flinch when she had pointed out that he was afriad. He had not wanted to say that there were certain things that he feared to say out loud. Not everyone needed to know what he feared. He took the coin and held it in his hand. So it was as simple to throw the coin out a window. But what if there was no window where he was being attacked. What has he to do then. He would have to find a window and hold off an attacker if needed. He looked at the coin again making sure that it was there. It was his only lifeline. "You're right. I am scared. Who wants to find out that they are not who they thought they were the whole time."
The carriage stopped in front of the inn and Tamises got out. He made his way to the inn keeper and waited to be served. When the keeper finally appeared he maid arrangements for two room in just in case Tyr liked to stay in her own room. He did not want to make a mistake. He pulled out a small pouch containing a small amount of coins. It was enough to pay for the night and make it clear that he did not wanted be disturbed when he was in his room and if he found his room disturbed he would make the keeper pay. He made his way back to the carriage and grabbed the unconscious kid. He looked at the inn keeper. "My brother was being a little rowdy and well I did not want him to hurt himself any more. Just ignore him if he asks for any help. He is quite the lair and will do anything to get away."
He made the way to his room and tied the kid to the bed so he could not escape and inform the mystery man that they had arrived in the city. He gagged him just in case he tried to scream and alarm everyone. He then locked the door to his room and made his way back to the entrance. He leaned near the door the inn and waited. He was planning to walk all the way to the address Tyr had given him. "Tell me when you are ready to go. I am ready. However we are not take the carriage this time. I want the horses to rest. They have done enough work"

" Almost every room in there has a window, if nothing but a skylight. Unless you go into the basements. She stated after reading the brief doubt in his face. This wretched boarding house is mainly for the children of the elite in society. There were few expenses that were skirted in the construction of the grounds. If there had been many rooms without windows she would instead give her accomplice a small and thin dowel rod that she would have told him to break in case of emergency. She would feel the double pull instead of single, and would know as soon as she felt it. The down side is that she would have to concentrate on that dowel the whole time that he was inside, and that wouldn't be too fun to do while she waited.
Tyr shrugged at his response, and agreed with him. She was pretty sure that if she could see that kind of thing she wouldn't be apt to use it on herself for those very reasons. Then again... The humans that she had been in contact with had all been monsters on the inside. In her mind, there isn't much different between a monster and a human other than the humans are more aesthetically pleasing in her eyes." I guess you are right. I don't think I would jump at the chance to prove that I may not be human. But then again, I think I'm to curious to hold back as long as you have." She said bluntly. She was always the blunt one, and now was no exception. She followed him to the room, wondering what they would do about sleeping arrangements when it came time for that. The kid was tied to the bed, while in other situations may be fun, but right now she was too tired to let her mind wander down that twisted road.
"I need to go to a blacksmith's shop before we go anywhere. Need to pick up ammo, because I am pretty much out right now. She said with a smirk, anticipating more fun. She had three main blacksmiths that she worked with, one in each main town, and had them keep her provisions in stock. They always had one hundred of each of the bearings that she may need to restock, and if she came to buy some, they replaced what she bought within two days. Usually she didn't go through that many bearings in a couple of days, but she had a feeling that it would be quite busy while they searched for the information, and maybe even after if he wanted her to accompany him to 'speak' with his father afterword. When she talked to the blacksmith, she would have him make five hundred for pickup before the ride home, and send a message back at the bastard's home town to commission the same amount from that local blacksmith as well.

Tamises nodded at Tyr. She had used a lot of her weapons during the attack, so he was not surprised that she wanted to restock on her supply. He Just hoped that it would not take too long. He had already decided to himself that he had not wanted to spend more time then necessary in this city. He still could not shake of the feeling that something was not right about all this. Why would someone come after him the day he decided to leave Sanchu. Maybe it was all just a coincidence and he was overreacting. He knew that he had to remain calm and think all of this through before he reached any conclusion.
He pushed himself off of the wall and left the in. He had no idea where they were going. He was just going to have to follow. He turned around and looked at Tyr. "Lead the way. After all this is your city, not mine." He smiled for the first time to Tyr. He liked to explore cities and get to know them. After he spent most of his time in Sanchu keeping himself safe and avoiding getting caught unguarded by the assassins his father sent after him.
