Powers;; Transformation between his human form and his dragon form. The transformation is easily done and can be done at any time. He also processes dragon breath that consists of a black flame though originally it was a red flame. His negative emotion caused the flames to change their colour and intensity. He is quite skilled in magic and casting spells that affect the surroundings around him, but most of the spells are sealed up and are unavailable to Balenth.
Weapons;; Though he has over time learned how to use many weapons he currently does not have any apart from his body.
Personality;; Balenth is a creature full of pride, arrogance, and hatred of intelligent creatures. He views them as insignificant creatures that do not deserve any of his time. All he cares about is protecting his gold and being feed. That was however before he was sealed away and imprisoned. With his lost memories his reason for his hatred was forgotten and he started to revert back to his kind personality. With most of his memories gone he is interested on finding the truth about the world and why he was locked up. He has a strong desire to protect the weak and punish those who hurt others. He has an intense desire to gather gold for himself and keep it to himself. He his a skilled conversationalist and is willing to give his opinion if asked. If given a task he tries his best to finish the task as it was requested. He has a strong dislike for solders and will openly state it. He loves nature and has a strong connection with it. He likes to bask in the sun and swim in the deepest waters.
At times when fighting his original personality might surface and he could go on a rampage. Those moments are brief and often held back by the collar on his neck.
Appearance;; Much like the image but with one difference he has a kind collar on his neck. It is magically sealed so that he can not remove it. Others can remove it if they wish.
History;; Balenth one of the few ancient dragons that still remain. Born centuries ago he knows much about being free and doing what he desired. He never interfered with the existence of the other races yet they often visited him. There was a peace between him and the others unlike some other dragons however peace is a very fragile concept. One day he decided that he had the desire to know what it was like to fall in love with another person. Being alone for the majority of his life to this point he never sought a companion and no one sought him out. Taking a human form he set out to find what it was like to care for another creature.
At first he did not understand the desire that the other races called love but one day he ran across a woman that would change his life forever. He was visiting a village when he saw he leaving her house. Her beauty was something he had never seen. He approached her and introduced himself. Over time the two got to know each other and eventually he learned that she was to marry the lord that owned the land. Not wanting to give up on the one he loved he visited the lord. He offered the lord all kinds of riches in return for female's hand but the lord refused. Not wanting to take no for an answer he kidnapped the woman and ran away with her. The Lord angered sent out his men to find them, but none of them ever returned, none of them could match the strength of Balenth. He returned with her to his lair and told her that he loved her and that he would protect her always. She loved him as well.
For a few years they lived in peace, but that was when the dragon hunts started. It seemed like the other races had found a way to hunt the dragons that lived along with them. The hunters killed the dragons even they did not do any harm to any other race. Balenth was so far from any settlement he doubted that they would come to bother him. However he was wrong. One day he left to gather food for his beloved and their children and that was when the hunters choose to attack. They entered his lair and killed his beloved and children. When he returned he saw their corpses and the hunters and he lost it. He attacked the hunters not caring for anything but the women and children they had killed. He killed some but ended being captured and not killed. In his human form he was brought back to the same lord whom he had stolen from all those years before. The man angered ordered the dragon to be publicly killed in front of all the people. Not wanting to be separated from his beloved he awaited his fate, however that day did not arrive.
He was rescued by a the group of people that had always come to visit him in the mountains. They tended to his wounds and tried their best to give him a reason to live. Little did they know that he had one already. He was going to make the hunters suffer the same tragedy that he had. He set out and killed every hunters family not caring what he killed. If his children had to die then their could as well. When he had killed the families he returned to his lair challenging any human to try and fight him. Many hunters sought revenge but none of them succeed, the hatred in Balenth's heart could not be easily defeated. Slowly the dragon hunters started to die. Over the years the descendants of group of people that saved him guarded his lair making sure that no one else had to die. For generations Balenth remained in his lair leaving only to feed.
One day Balenth discovered that his beloved's soul had been reincarnated and he set out to find her. He was not going to let her suffer this time at the hands of killers. However it was a trap. The great mages of that time had created a spell to trap Balenth so that he would not cause the world any more trouble. The could not kill him because there were so little ancient dragons left in the world. They trapped him withing his human form and locked him in a cage. The final stage would seal his memories and magic until his heart calmed down from the hatred that he felt. The spell partially failed sealing some of his powers and most of his memories. They left him there to be locked up until they were sure that he would not be a threat anymore. Balenth has been free recently but has little memory of what happened before he was locked up.
Other;; He does have a blade made from a fang of a dragon that he had to fight one time. He had taken it as a trophy. However the sword is currently missing. There is a inscription on the blade that has his name written on it as proof of his ownership.
