Zane ignored all of the threatening hisses and the baring of the newborns teeth, he had expected her to do such things, so it didn't bother him. Instead, he continued to smile warmly at her and he left his hand on her shoulder. The only movement he did make, was reach out with his left hand for her right hand so that he could gently help her back up onto her feet. When he found her hand, his touch was very gentle, and his hand felt warm, even though it felt cold to a human being. He very gently pulled her back up onto her feet in front of him, he hated that she was showing this undignified weak side. He also hated how starved she was, even for a newborn.
”Rose? What a pretty name, it fits well for such a pretty women.” Zane was hopping that his flattery would calm her slightly, that it would gain her trust even if just a little. He had to show this newborn that he meant her no harm, because he didn't. That he was there to help her, because he was. That she could trust him, because she should. His deep voice was calming and gentle. But because it was quite deep, he had to almost whisper to avoid any humans passing by the alley way from hearing him. The last thing he needed right now were human women flocking down the alley way, to find the bloody corpse of what used to be a human being, and the girl with blood stained skin and himself. The idol of the city, with blood stained clothes, trying to soothe the corpses killer.
Zane allowed the corpse no chances to turn into a vampire, once he had Rose up on her feet, he casually pulled a match from his pocket and struck it against the wall behind Rose. The match quickly flared up and a red flame came to life on it's head. He then calmly and casually flicked the burning match behind him, and onto the dead body. The body quickly caught fire.
”Come, we must move from here. I'll take you to a place where you can feed.” He didn't give Rose any choice in the matter, she would come with him whether she liked it or not. He couldn't risk them both being caught here with the burning body. He knew it would attract attention. He quickly tore of his shirt, not caring that his torso was now bare. He scooped the scared newborn up into his strong and careful arms, and placed what was left of his shirt over her exposed skin. Although he was fast, he knew she wouldn't last in the sun for too long, and he didn't want the poor girl to perish.

Desmond looked at his lover as he blushed even more. He must have been thinking of something interesting if he was turning red without him doing anything. Venus never seemed to stop amusing him. He was so adorable and his reaction to Desmond did not help his case. It only made him want to play with him more. He did notice Venus' attempt to distract himself by introducing himself to their roommate. He smiled and decided to play with him a little more before they went to their room. He hugged Venus placing his arms around his love. He positioned himself behind him placing his head on Venus' shoulder.
When Venessa introduced herself he smiled at her. He caught another scent of blood. He wondered why there was so much blood being spilled today. At this rate they were going to be blamed for this whole mess. He did not want to move again since he had finally gotten a room to share with Venus he did not want to leave yet. His observer nature set in and he had no desire to save it. He justed wanted to watch and see what would happened. He noticed Vanessa leave to go save whatever was in trouble. He looked at Venus as she left the house. The two of them were alone in the house.
"You turned quite red Venus. Were you thinking of me when you blushed Venus?" He whispered it in his ear. He then licked the edge of his ear to tease him. He wanted to see how red he got before the others returned. They would return and that was the one thing that he was sure of. He did not have to much time to tease Venus. He also hoped that he would get more embarrassed when they returned and he was blushing that much. He remained there keeping his hands around Venus. He was not going to give him a chance to escape.
He did not have much more time to tease with Venus when he saw Venessa return back to the house. However he was not alone, she was carrying a panther with them. The house was already full as it was and she brought an panther back with them. He looked at the panther and noticed that it was like them a vampire. He finally released Venus from his hug. He hoped that Vanessa would not want to keep it. They already had four people in this house and adding a creature was going to make it even more crowded.

Nala dropped her aggresive stance and lowered herself into a more frightened position, curling her tail about herself to make herself as small as possible -- the way animals do. Her ears drooped and she whined as the circle of people shifted, waiting for the hunter to lose his arrow. Suddenly, a very stern voice called Samantha. It was not her name, but if this person was willing to save her, then Samantha she was. Nala darted towards her and jumped up just as she bent down to pick her up. Suddenly, a very familiar scent hit her (a little late, but she figured it was because of all the other scents that this one had been muffled, her senses weren't completely developed yet), and it became obvious that this being was much like her. Nala had yet to meet anyone else that drank blood, but the scent was distinguishable all the same. She purred softly, feeling much more safe in the arms of this person. Her claws gripped their clothing as they disappeared into a nearby home. Nala mewed softly in appreciation and licked the persons face with that cat-like smile. She let herself be put back down, and looked up at this new person with golden eyes. Nala prefered not to talk in the human language (one of many), but would if she was asked a question. "My name is Nala," she said sweetly, suddenly rolling on her back. She had an ability to easily forget what happened only moments before -- probably due to her age. Her nostrils flared as a lot of other scents, obviously vampire but all different, filled her nose. Flipping back onto her feet, and sat down, licked her paw and rubbed it across her face. Nala was incredibly cat, even though she was a blood-drinker and a fish-hater.

Venus felt his lover put his arms around him and placed his head on venus's shoulder. This made his blush become even darker. When the female vampire, Vanessa, left in a hurry, Venus noticed that they were alone. Even if it was for a short time, who knows what Desmond would do.
When Desmond whispered in his ear, Venus tried to wiggle out of Desmond's arms, becoming bright red when Desmond licked him. It was one of the things that was sure to turn him bright red. Venus couldn't help that he blushed so much around his lover. There was just something special about him. And that's why Venus was madly in love with the vampire.
Just went venus smelt Nessa's scent, a strange one was mixing with hers. Desmond finally released the poor young vampire and his face slowly cooled off. Venus looked at the panther, noticing it was a vampire as well. This was the first vampire animal he had seen. Venus kind of liked the panther. When it (she) spoke, he wasn't all that surprised. He had seen stranger.
'I'm Venus Suzuki. he said, watching the feline. It would be nice to have a pet of sorts in the house.

Vanessa laughed, smiling widely at the panther that she had just saved from the humans outside. She already liked the panther as the feline liked her face and mewed. She was so cute! She was gonna keep her, that much she knew already. She didn't care what the others of the house thought or felt about her, she was gonna keep her. They would just have to deal with it. However, her want to keep the adorable vampire creature only escalated when the panther spoke, giving her name to be Nala. The only female vampire of the household could barely contain the squeal that emitted from her throat at the fact the feline could talk. Of course, she couldn't say that she was totally surprised. After all, it was a vampire being after all. But, it caught her off guard a bit and it was so cute!
Suddenly so much more excited, Vanessa could barely stop herself from jumping up and down in glee as she looked at the adorable Nala. It's nice to meet you Nala! My name is Vanessa. You can call me Nessa if you would like, the girl said with a wide smile upon her face before picking the adorable panther as she was acting very catlike. After doing this, she began to pet the creature and praise it, not being able to resist herself. After complementing Nala on her soft fur and pretty eyes, amoung other things, she turned towards the two others that were currently with her in the house.
Can we keep her? Please, she asked, looking at the male vampires with puppy eyes. Of course, she was gonna keep the animal even if they didn't accept, but she was at least gonna get the ok from them first. You know, to make sure they didn't have a problem with a pet and try to kill her. She had seen Venus already introduce himself to the feline, so she was pretty sure he was ok with it. However, she didn't know about Desmond. Or Zane for that matter. However, she could care less about what Zane thought. She was still pretty ticked at him, so she didn't care if he wanted to keep Nala or not. So, she waited for the other two to answer, staring at them with wide, pleading eyes as she held Nala.

Rose seemed to have calmed down now and she stood when Zane had helped her up. She was starved mostly because her newborn self was used to regular feeding. When she was caged with her creator, he would let her feed from him quite often and now, after being without blood for over twenty-four hours, she found her thirst was unable to be controlled. And the only reasons she was showing such a weak side was because he was older than she was and she was afraid of him. The last thing she wanted was to be treated like her creator had treated her. Especially after escaping from such a man.
Despite what Zane was hoping for his flattery to do, it frightened her more. She didn't know what Zane was going to do to her and why he was trying to help her. She had learned that some people with good intentions had horrible motives. She tried to move away from the older vampire a little, her crimson eyes wide and worrisome. She didn't want to be treated like she had been before. She didn't want to be locked up inside a house. She just wanted to be safe. To be in control again. Which she was far from at the moment.
She watched as Zane set the corpse ablaze. This did not calm her at all, she didn't understand what he was doing. Though, she assumed that there was really no point since Zane had killed the human after she had fed from him anyway.
Rose watched as he tore off his shirt and she gazed at him. She couldn't help it. He was beautiful and her eyes wouldn't peel away. And it didn't help that he had put his shirt around her already burnt shoulders and his smell enveloped her. Her eyes became a darker shade of crimson as her thirst burned heavily in her throat. Only this time she wanted Zane's blood. She wanted a vampire's blood because she was so used to feeding from it. She just clenched her jaw and closed her eyes tight,. She couldn't bite him. Not here. Not now. Though, he had said that once he took her home that she would be able to feed. Would he give her his blood? If not, how was she going to feed?
She didn't resist as he picked her up. She curled up in his arms and buried her head in her shoulder. She was trying to get rid of his heavenly scent but it wasn't working. She was at least thankful for the shirt he had placed on her. Another moment in the sun and she would be sure to bleed.

Zane looked around as he held Rose like a newborn baby against his warm chest. He could hear the whispered shouts of the towns people drawing near, it wouldn't be long until both vampires were found. So Zane quickly, in a hurried manor, leaped onto the nearest roof-top and ran along it, like he did to get to the ally way. But then his eyes widened slightly as an arrow whizzed past his ear and there was an angry shout.
”OVER THERE!” It was a human voice, Zane had been spotted as he jumped from the ally, which meant the humans had been closer than Zane first though. Had he have stayed there any longer, things would become really messy for him and Rose. He looked at the person who had shouted, he was aiming another arrow straight for Zane, but Zane could tell he had no been recognized, which was good. But fairly soon he would be, he was the only male who's skin glows in the sun-light who lived in the town after all. And right now, that man was shirtless, and the sun was high in the sky.
Zane saw the arrow coming easily and easily manoeuvred out of it's path. He pressed Rose harder against his skin, but just as he did, his ears caught the sound of another arrow hurtling towards him, and as he looked to see where it came from, it was a second too late, the arrow embedded intself into Zane's ankle. Which caused his crimson blood to drip down the shaft of the arrow slightly and send his scent high in the air. He knew this wasn't good, so quickly ran as fast as he could for the nearest forest, which thankfully, was already in view.
Zane managed to escape the city without any other injuries, but now rumours about a strange shirtless man were spreading through the vast city. He knew it would only be moments before the Coven knew too. The rumour was that the man had horribly murdered a father and burnt his body in an ally way, and then abducted the fathers daughter and ran off. But nobody knew why yet. They were also saying that he was headed for Sohanna forest, which of course, Zane was.
It only took him ten minutes, even with his injured ankle to reach the forest, where it would take a horse at least half an hour at full sprint. He ran into the heart of the forest, where the tree's were the tallest, and the bushes were the thickest. He doubted they would be found here. He carefully lay Rose against a tree as he knelt down near another, and tended to his ankle. First he inspected the wound, to see how far the arrow hand penetrated. Then he ripped the arrow from his ankle and a shrill hiss escaped his lips. He then sealed the wound with magic to prevent more bleeding, he was already so thirsty now, bleeding any more would just make things worse. Terribly worse.

Desmond looked at the panther as she spoke. At first he thought it was another vampire pretending to be a panther, but it looked like she was a real panther. He wondered how she became a vampire. He looked at Venus and noticed that he wanted to keep the panther. He shook his head and decided at least he should call her by her name. Nala. He did not want to keep it, but if Venus wanted to he could not refuse. He did not want to make his love feel sad just because he did not want something. He would agree as long as the creature did not enter his and Venus' room.
He looked at Nala. "I'm Desmond, nice to meet you Nala." He then looked at Vanessa having to answer her request. "You can keep it, but you should still ask Zane. He is the oldest after all." He then walked to Venus and hugged him again. He wanted to be close to his love. He took a deep breath taking in the smell of his love. As he breathed out it brushed against Venus' neck. He felt at ease when he was around Venus and he did not have to worry how so many vampires were going to sit in such a small house. They would figure something out.
He wondered how to get Venus to their room when he remembered that he had something he still had to get. He had completely forgotten about it. He needed to buy a more ink to his pens. He kissed Venus on the cheek and released his hug. "I'll be right back. I need to go buy something. Don't go start unpacking with out me." He then went to the door and opened it and left the house. He closed the door and made his way to the store. The scent of blood was still slightly in the air, but it was not as bad as before.
It was not long before he was stopped and learned about the rumour spreading thought out the city. He shook his head not knowing anything and yet he had a feeling that Zane was somehow involved. He had left to find the source of the scent of blood and he had not come back yet. He made it to the shop and bought the ink and started to make it back to the house when it hit him. Zane must have somehow gotten involved in the mess. He ran home to make sure he was over thinking things and hoping that Zane had made it home by now.
He entered the house and found that Zane had not returned. He still hoped that he was wrong yet something was telling him that he was right. He was going to ask the others if they thought the same. However he first needed to calm down and think things though. "I hope that I am wrong," he said to himself. He sat down on the nearest sofa trying to find a reason that he was wrong about his deduction.

Nala licked her paw again and rubbed it over her face one more time before putting her legs out and lowering her front to the ground -- her jaws opened wide and she yawned as she stretched out her body. She pulled herself back together and shook, "Hi, Venus." she said cheerfully, lifting a paw and putting it back to the ground. The cub spun around with a kitty-smile as Nessa started to sound excited. Nala jumped up playfully with her paws on Nessa's thighs, her tail whipping back and forth behind her as she mewed. The cub allowed herself to be picked up, and purred at the petting and praising. Her body vibrated softly as she curled her tail up and licked Nessa's fingers. "Yeah, can you keep me?" she said cutely, rubbing her own face against Nessa's and holding it there -- staring with wide, pleading green eyes. Her face was squished against Nessa's. "Yay!" she squeeled. Nala squirmed out of Nessa's arms and pranced over to Desmond, where she rubbed against his legs in a circle. She did that once, before going back over to Nessa. She jumped up again to meet her hand, curling under it so that Nessa's fingers ran over her head and down her neck before Nala returned to the ground. She turned to watch Desmond leave the house. Jumping up on a table, she let herself onto Nessa's shoulder. "Where do we sleep?" she asked, balancing carefully on the vampire's shoulder.

Venus hugged Desmond back, taking a breath of Desmond's scent as well. When Desmond's breathe hit him, he stayed a light pink shade of color. Desmond comforted Venus as well, but also made he heart jumpy. In a good way of course. He stayed light pink when Desmond kissed his cheek, wondering if his beloved could feel the heat in his cheeks.
When Desmond pulled away, Venus gave him a small wave. "Be home soon!" Venus said, hoping that Desmond would be gone long enough for him to hide the box of art of his lover. One day Desmond would probably find it, but that day wasn't today.
Once Desmond closed the door, Venus smiled at the other vampires. "I'll be right back." Venus said, walking quickly to his and now Desmond's shared room. He was greeted with the sight of his boxes and some of Desmond's boxes as well. He looked around, slightly panicked at the thought of Desmond finding the art. Desmond would never let him forget about it!
He quickly found the slightly smaller box and picked it up carefully. Looking around, Venus was shocked to find that there weren't many hiding spots for the artwork. He would either have to make a place, hide it elsewhere, or leave it where it was for the time being. Not any of the choices were very good. But then Venus looked under the bed and was about to put the box under the bed as well until he saw a box down there.
Taking the box out, Venus found Desmond's name on it. He opened the box carefully and peered in, only to have a confused looked spread across his face. It was...books? But they weren't bound like most books and seemed to have no title or author. Manuscripts? No, because they were bound. Just not like other published books.
Venus decided to pick up one of them on the top and open it. Reading a few sentences, Venus turned bright red at the words written by Desmond. He could tell it was Desmond's because the words were handwritten. The words...No, it was such a dirty book that I can't even say anything about it. Let's just say it was of Desmond and Venus having fun.
He quickly shoved the book back into the box and then shoved the box back under the bed. Venus's face stayed red as he looked around for a hiding spot. He decided to take some of his clothes and put the artwork into a dresser drawer before placing the clothes over them. By the time he was done, about a minute later, Venus caught Desmond's scent and heard the door close.
Venus exited the room quickly and made his way to Desmond. He caught a few words, looking at Desmond with the books forgotten for now. His lover sat down on a couch and Venus walked over to him. "What do you hope your wrong about?" he asked, looking at Desmond. Had something happened?

Vanessa giggled as the tiny panther vampire purred and continued to let her pet her, loving all the attention and acting just like one of her old pets from when she was still human. The old cat she had had, a slightly over-weight calico named Clarice, was so loving and friendly, always going up to people and rubbing her face in theirs. Though it annoyed some people, especially those who didn't like the feline family, but Vanessa loved her little baby. She thought the little thing was just the cutest little thing. It wasn't until just know that the vampire female noticed how much she missed the love she once receieved from the creature. And now, she had Nala to show her that affection.
Smiling, she listened as Desmond told her that she could keep the small animal that would grow larger later. For now, she wasn't going to be a problem, but Vanessa knew that Nala would get bigger. But, she would deal with that later. Instead, she jumped up and down with joy, running towards Desmond and giving him a big hug before Nala returned to her and she began to pet her once more. Soon after though, Desmond had to leave the house to go get something, Venus quickly going upstairs after he left. He seemed to be in a hurry, so he must have been going to hide something. However, before Vanessa could give much thought to it, the panther cub had managed to jump onto her shoulders, asking where they slept.
Smiling, Vanessa balanced herself with the added weight, walking upstairs to the room that she and Zane shared. This is our room. Another vampire named Zane, who is currently not here, also uses this room but he doesn't sleep. He just keeps his stuff in here. So, you and I can share the bed, Vanessa said with excitement, sitting down on the comfy mattress. The room at the end of the hall is Desmond and Venus' room. Don't go near it, cause it will be scary. And then the room next to that is a storage room of sorts for the said two. Thats a short explanation of the top level of the house. Just know that everything else besides this room is off limits, the brunette vampire said to the adorable cub, petting her as she talked.
However, sounds from downstairs caught her attention. I wonder if thats Zane, she thoughts, getting up off the bed. Come on, Nala, Vanessa said, grabbing hold of the panther before making her way back downstairs. But, when she got downstairs, she found only Desmond back from his arrend, talking to Venus about something. Not really catching what the two had just said, Vanessa sat herself down on the arm of a chair and thought for a moment. Zane sure is taking a long time to get back, huh, she inquired, voice showing the slightest hint of worry. Knowing Zane, he always got everything he needed done quickly. It wasn't good when he took longer than a couple of minutes.

Shouts. Loud shots and wind rushing by. That was all Rose could hear or feel. She knew what was going on without even taking a look over Zane's shoulder. People had found the body. They had discovered Zane and Rose and instantly knew that they had killed the poor, innocent man. But then it hit her. The glorious scent of blood - of Zane's blood - Rose's eyes glowed and the monster deep within her reared it's ugly head. No matter how hard she tried not to, the thought of biting Zane tempted Rose.
She began to squirm within Zane's grasp, growling. She wanted to be let down. She wanted to go. Or else she might attack yet another innocent person and she didn't want to kill him. Especially since he had tried to help her. He was helping her.
Tears stained the newborn's eyes as she struggled with her conflicting thoughts - struggled against his grasp. The muscle of her jaw tensed and she started to grit her teeth together to distract herself from the smell. It wouldn't last long. The second she had the chance she would bite - No! Escape! Not attack! Escape!
The second he set her down, she would shoot off like a dart. She would disappear. Or at least try.
But when he sad set her down, she didn't run. She clamped her hands over her mouth and nose, her chest rising and falling quickly with her shallow breathing. Tears were spilling from her crimson gems of eyes. She did not want this to be happening. She didn't want to be a monster.
Thick rose vines wrapped tightly around Rose, holding her to the tree so she couldn't attack him.
Kill me!
Oh, how she wished to beg for her certain death. To be killed by this man. But she didn't not beg. She did not request. She sat at the base of the tree - silent.
