Balenth had been having some problems of his own when he lost his grip on Roxiri. This was not good. They were being separated and it became harder to defend both of them. He hit the chest of the man in front of him with his knees. He did not draw his blade yet. He was still somewhat hoping that they could have have to fight. But as the next person came and attacked by another person he figured that there was no choice but to fight. He was going to have to knock out every single on of these people.
He held himself from pulling out his new sword. He was afraid that if he got too serious he would black out again. It seemed that every time he got to serious in a fight he woke up at the end of the fight. He was not going to let that happen this time. He kicked the man's left knee and he dodged another attack. As the man fell to the ground he heard Roxiri called out to him. She was on danger and he needed to protect her. If she got injured Axel would be sad and he did not want to see her cry like that again.
In that instant he pulled out his blade and changed in to the darker Balenth. He sword made itself between Roxiri and the incoming Vampire. If the vampire went further it would lose its head. "Stop," he bellowed and filled the bar with noise. He was going out a very menacing aura and if the people could read it they would leave. He was not going to hold himself back from killing them this time. To him they were all little humans that had no real value in this world. The one there he would take seriously was the vampire.

Roxiri closed her eyes tightly, waiting to get hit by the vampire. Instead she felt something come around from behind her and end up in front of her. Slowly opening her eyes, she found Balenth's blade in front of her. The vampire had trouble stopping, eyes wide as he made contact with the blade. Most vampires, even with their regeneration skills, died when their heads were cut off.
A spray of warmth was on Roxiri as the vampire's head was cut from his shoulders. Some people took shelter or ran, while some nonhumans glared at Balenth and her. Roxiri could feel the man's blood on her but ignored it, instead facing Balenth now. Something was very wrong with him. The dragon's normally calm and good aura had suddenly, without explaination, become much darker.

Balenth watched as the vampire lost his head. He had not wanted the creature to die, but it was not his fault that is could not stop in time. He wiped the blood off of his blade on the dead vampire. He looked around to see if there were any other takers to their fight. He was willing to take anyone on right now. He had no problems with killing them either. He saw that most of the humans had ran away and all that was left were nonhuman creatures. He pulled Roxiri closer to him making sure that he would be able to protect the one person he needed to protect.
No one moved as his aura still filled the bar. "Don't worry none of these lower creatures are going to harm you," he told Roxi as he stood there in the middle of the room. He waited for another person to make a move not wanting to let down his guard. He had guessed by now that the others here knew that he was powerful and maybe a dragon. It would be stupid to attack him. He took a step back from the others and looked around. He paused when he could not see the bartender. He had hoped that he had not run away as well.
He was surprised when he felt something touch his shoulder. He had not even felt someone behind him. He turn around and stopped himself when he noticed it was the bartender. "I do not want to see anymore death here dragon. I gave you what you wanted, so leave." Balenth looked at the bartender with confusion, this many was not scared of him. He leaned forward and whispered to the bartender. "I will listen to you for now dragon, but next time don't do that and control." He knew that the man was a dragon because there were only a few enemies that could move like that when he was this angry.
He put his sword away and made his way out of the bar. Leads Roxi out of the city and to the edge of the city. "I bet you have some questions." He did not know how long he could stay like this before his hatred took control again and he would have to return himself back to the other Balenth.

Roxiri followed Balenth, many people looking at them strangely. After all, its not everyday that you see a girl covered in blood beign pulled along by someone and the girl not looking frightened. Roxiri actually looked quite calm on the outside. She let her form return to her normal self, blood still staying on her form.
When Balenth spoke, Roxiri nodded. She needed to know what had happened to Balenth to make him like this. It was like there were two different people inside of the dragon. Right now, Balenth was calm like he usually was when Roxi saw him. The shapeshifter lookes at the dragon, wondering if he would turn back into the other, more dark side of himself.
What had made him like this? She wanted to ask that but instead stayed silent. She felt a strange movement in herself and blinked. It felt as thought something was awakening inside of her for a brief moment. But then the sensation left her, as if something hadn't really awoken. Something that wasn't in her body. No, it had been in her...soul?
She looked up to the dragon, wanting to know more then he could answer.

Balenth sighed when the girl said nothing. How dare she not ask him questions when he was willing to answer anything right now. He crossed his hand and looked at her. "I do not have all day girl. I don't know when I will be able to stop my hatred. In fact the only thing that is making me hold back is because you are Axel's friend." Well that and he had no reason to dislike her. She posed no threat to him and he was not one of those involved with the death of his family. It would be pointless. He tapped his foot with impatience.
As he grew irritated over the silence some of that aura filled the area around him. He was not doing it on purpose it was just happening. Even if he wanted to control all of his aura he could not not since it had been some time since he had been free like this.

Roxiri felt a chill run down her spine as his aura leaked into the surrounding area. "Who..are you? I know you are Balenth but why are there two of you?" Roxiri asked, eyes turning a shade of ruby red for a moment. Her body tended to make small changes when Roxiri was either in deep thought, complete boredom, or sometimes just randomly. This was a tie between the first and third.
Roxiri wasn't scared around this second Balenth though, unlike most girls or any other people. Even the fact that he was a dragon didn't scare her. Because she knew that he wouldn't hurt her, at least not badly. Even if he acted like this, she could still tell that both sides of the Balenth shared a kind, but scarred, soul. So she didn't even move away from the irritated dragon, instead watching him with interest.

Balenth knew about his other self and he did have a small dislike that that side of himself. He did not have the memories of what happened so he could not understand everything, but he knew everything. "Well I'm the real Balenth, that other me is my past self. Something that happened when that soul inside you sealed my memories. I'm letting him exist because if I don't the same thing will happen to me again. He if my way of walking around the lower creatures without getting caught. And as you can feel it is not easy to control this infernal aura." He sat down on the ground trying to calm himself down.
He sighed and looked down on the grass. He was going to have to be more careful when coming out. First he almost beat that dragon up to a pulp and now he killed a vampire. It was hard to fight against that hatred, it felt so good as it coursed through his body. Everything he did made his feel better and forget about his love. He slammed his fist on the ground as he thought about her. He could not let the hatred consume him yet.

Roxiri watched Balenth as he explained. So he was the real Balenth, the one she had seen in those flashes of memories. Her past self had locked away this very person but Roxiri was glad he had become unsealed. Who would have thought that the person who had placed the dragon into sleep would be the one to awaken him and then even return the memories? Now that was ironic. ((I just realized that that sounded a bit like Inuyasha!))
Roxiri sat down on the grass as well, her hair becoming pure white. She continued to ignore the blood on her, seeing as there wasn't anything to clean up with. Well, besides the option of making some part of her body water and cleaning it. But she didn't, instead watching as Balenth hit the ground.
"I saw your memories sometimes...The ones that were trapped in me." Roxiri said after a moment, in a quiet voice. Her hair stayed white in color while her eyes turned a dark black instead of their normal grey color.

Balenth looked at Roxiri with surprise, but with some anger. She had seen things that no one should see and yet he held himself back. It probably was an accident that she saw it. He wanted to know what she saw. If she was going to be around his other self he had to make sure that she did not tell him what she knew. It would be dangerous if his other self was forced to remember before he was ready. If he wanted to become another person, but he feared that it might not happen if all the memories surfaced before he started to love humanity again. He looked at Roxiri and took in a deep breath.
"Tell me what you saw." He needed to know what she knew about him. He had plenty of memories that were taken, some where good and some where things he prefer not to talk about. He thought of happy thoughts as he felt his anger start to enter in his thoughts and he wanted to stop it. He hit the ground again trying to hurt himself so he would not think about those thoughts.

Roxiri took in Balenth's surprise. What had she seen? "Most of the time I only saw flashes of it. But sometimes I saw a woman smiling and a few little kids. And sometimes I saw a village. I also saw what happened that night...Why you were sealed away." Roxiri said, a sad look in her eyes. It had been horrible to even watch the memory. She couldn't imagine what it would feel like to actually be that person.
When Balenth punched the ground again, Roxiri could tell it wasn't because of irritation. Was he trying to harm himself? The shapeshifter quickly moved over to Balenth and wrapped her arms around him. She held onto the dragon carefully, not wanting him to hurt himself. She had also seen Balenth being sealed away by her past self, Nikki. But that hadn't been in his memories.

Balenth said nothing as she wrapped his arms around him. She knew, she had seen the memory. The worst memory in his whole existence, the one that did not fade, it remained as clear as the day that it had happened. The one tragedy that he could not stop. Without knowing it tears ran down his cheeks as he thought of that day. He felt no anger at that night, it was the events that happened after that made his angry and hate the world. He looked at the ground not saying anything. He wanted to think about some else. He did not want to think about her, he did not want to think about what they did to her. He froze he felt the anger start to return. The pain was helping him but now that he was unable to do it again there was nothing to abandon him.
He needed another distraction if he wanted to stay lucid for a longer amount of time. However as long as Roxiri was holding him. He took each of her hands and unwrapped them. He then pinned her on the ground. "Listen, what ever you do do not tell anyone what you saw. Ever. Not even the other me. His mind will not be able take in the knowledge of his dead family. He will break and he is much more dangerous than I am when broken. I have had time to cope and develop this anger he has not." He then punched the ground again this time breaking skin and causing him to bleed. He was starting to tremble. He was not going to be able to remain as himself much longer.

Roxiri looked up at Balenth, a bit surprised at being pinned to the ground. She already knew that she wasn't to tell anyone. After all, she wasn't supposed to know either. Roxiri nodded up at Balenth, a bit of concern on her face. After all, she had invaded his privacy, wether she had wanted to or not.
Roxiri let her body take the form of air, Balenth's hand passing through her wrists. The shapeshifter moved so she was sitting in front of the dragon again, still close to him. Her body returned to its human form, her face still having slight concern on her face as Balenth hit the ground again. Roxiri felt like she needed to help this Balenth, the one who held anger against people. But how?

Balenth could no longer stop his anger. At this rate he might have actually hurt him. He could not stay out any longer. He was going to switch back as long as he was still lucid. they were not in danger right now so his other self should be able to handle everything. As he switched back he fell to the ground. The dragon that opened his eyes was the normal Balenth. He lay there not moving trying to figure out why his hand hurt and why he was no longer in the bar. He added it again to another event where he was not in control. He hated knowing that he loses himself when he gets really serious in a fight. It made him feel weak and he felt even worse knowing that he felt weak as a dragon.
He turned around on his back and looked at the stars. He knew that Roxiri was there but he did not want to know what happened. He could guess that he got very violent and that was what he needed to know. He was just hoping that he had not killed anyone in this outburst. "I'm sorry." Those were all the words that could come out of his mouth. He did not know what he did during that time, but he hoped that he had not hurt Roxiri while he was like that.

Roxiri watched as suddenly Balenth fell back. She could tell by the aura that he was becoming his normal self. But the other Balenth had been the real one...right? He had said that. So why was this Balenth here? Roxiri kept her mouth shut, common sense telling her not to talk about that. Even though the fragon had said not to say anything about memories, she could talk about the other side of him. But she decided it was best not to in the long run.
Roxiri made her way next to Balenth just as he spoke. Why did he say sorry? She smiled down at him and shook her head. "It's okay! You saved me actually." the shapeshifter admitted, also feeling a bit weak. But also grateful. The blood on her body and clothing had disappeared when she had become air, so she didn't look like anything had happened. Roxiri sat normally on the grass beside the dragon, his aura now cal once again.

He saved her, she had to be wrong. The last time he had a black out he almost killed a dragon. There was no way that what ever came out when he was out cold was a good creature. He did not want to depend on such a thing when he was in trouble. It was not far to him and those around him. "That's good, but I'm still sorry. You would not have been in danger if I had not gone into that bar with you." He now looked at Roxi showing how concerned he was about her when they were fighting at the bar. He knew he could fight on his own, but he did not want those around him to get hurt.
"I just feel like a liability to everyone here. I have no fractured memories, I can barely use my powers and I black out and god knows what happens there. I am a failure as a dragon." He did not want to feel this way he just did. Nothing made sense to him anymore. He need not mention all these emotions that he was feeling that he had never felt before were driving him crazy. He just wanted to go back to his cave and sit there and do nothing, but even doing that was to hard for him.
