Evlin tilted her head to the side when Haseo declined her offer to help. She said nothing as she stood up straight but giggled softly when Haseo claimed that Roxas was his food. How cute and childish he was. "Silly, that little creature can't be your food. Deary, he's not exactly a fish. He's like you and Lexi. He is a merman. A person. Not food." She didn't mean any insult by what she said. She was just correcting the young neko by his obvious confusion on food and friend.
Though, her attention switched to Lexi when she felt a wave of sorrow and jealousy wash over herself. Was that coming from her? Evlin took a step toward her, clasping her hands in front of her. "Is something the matter?" she asked softly. Why had this sudden emotion come from her? What was she thinking?
Evlin seemed to have stumbled upon a few people with problems. Problems she wanted to help fix. Whether it be finding a little one's sister or saving someone from becoming cat-chow, she wanted to help. No matter the cost. It wasn't like she didn't have any time for them. She was immortal, after all.
She moved closer to Lexi until she was stood beside the young girl. Evlin's violet eyes gazed down at her - sincere.
