A purple cat wound its way through the Battle Fields, feeling the aura of the area like most animals could. It was a dark aura that would have people stay far from it. But thats just why the cat was here. It liked to be alone every once in a while, away from the people and the big cities.
The cat looked around, its skinny body walking on the blood stained ground. Most of the dirt was turned from a earthy brown to an unnatural dark crimson. There wasn't really any grass or anything else besides a flat ground. A ground flooded with rotting bodies at some point.
The cat wondered what the Battle Grounds would look like if the three Kingdoms would have never had a war. From what the cat had heard from the so-old-they-were-ancient creatures it used to be beautiful. A plain, kind of like Silver Flats in the Kingdom of Sanchu. It seemed that the Kingdom of Daika was the only one that had been posioned by war.
The other two Kingdoms were still beautiful even after the war. The young cat was pulled from his thoughts when he thought he heard someone nearby. His ears swivelled on top of his head, trying to find the source of the sound...

It was not Evlin's first time visiting the Battle Grounds. In fact, she was alive when it was beautiful. When the crimson had not stained it's lovely grasses tainting the site for eternity.
She walked silently and gracefully into the area after the cat had appeared. She did not take much notice of the little creature for her eyes were closed peacefully. She was humming softly to the vacant shells of bodies that littered the area, swaying gently as she walked.
Please take me away Show me the way to happiness...
She began to sing softly for the dead. She thought that no matter what, things deserve peace and this was her way of delivering peace to the ones who suffered during the war.
Her beautiful, haunting voice echoed around the grounds and though, no one was here, she could feast from the energies that the neighboring trees gave off. Anything that had a life force, she could feed from. But, what she didn't realize, was that she was feeding from the cat that was here.
When she opened her eyes, they were a soft purple matching the fur of the cat. She immediately stopped when her gaze fell upon the small creature. She had not known someone was there and by the small aura, and the color of its fur, she could tell this was no ordinary house cat.
"Hello," she greeted the feline softly, offering a small smile as her eyes closed once more.

The cat looked up at the woman in front of him, who had been singing. Singing at the Battle Grounds? Very strange, but the cat found that he liked not being the only strange thing around here. The woman's aura was weak for some reason but the cat watched as it moved around slightly, encasing the woman.
When the woman's eyes closed, the cat transformed. It turned from a purple cat to a teenager with the same purple hair. His cat ears and tail remained but besides that he appeared human. His tail swished behind him as he greeted her as well. "Hullo. Why are you here in the Battle Grounds?" he asked, looking the woman over.
She wasn't human but not far from from one seeing as her form appeared to be human. It was her voice and her aura that gave her away. He didn't ask about her species, as she hadn't asked him. It was obvious to everyone that he wasn't a normal cat, with a broken handcuff on one hand with a bit of broken chain hitting the ground when he walked. That and the leather collar on him.

Evlin sang to the bodies of the men because souls tended to linger. Maybe if there were some souls that lingered here and she couldn't see, she could still at least let them be in peace with a melody.
She didn't seem too surprised when she opened her eyes again and gazed at the now teenage boy. Her assumption of him being a neko was right. Quickly, she stepped forward and planted a soft kiss on his cheek with her full, red lips. She was dressed in a short black dress and heels, one leg covered by a stocking. She wore black gloves with metal hems and a black choker that seemed to mimic his collar. Her full curls bounced as she smiled once again, tilting her head to the side.
"It is a pleasure to meet you little neko-neko. My name is Evlin Deolinda but you may call me what you wish. I'm just hear to sing to the lingering spirits - I want to bring them as much peace as I can while I can," she spoke cheerily, her now dark violet eyes gazing at him.
She started to wonder if her kiss on his cheek would have offended him. She did it to everyone male or female. It was how she greeted people.

Terra was a bit surprised when the woman, Evlin, kissed him on the cheek. He never really got close to anyone and it had a long time since another person had shown him some sort of affection, even as a greeting. After all, he was a stray cat with no really good friends or family. It's not like many people talked to cats in their spare time.
Terra wore his leather shirt with a simple corset in the back along with matching leather wrist warmers that started inbetween his shoulder and his elbow that ended on his hands. They were like fingerless gloves. Terra also wore his normal pants with small strangely colored chains or strings. He wondered why the woman was dressed like that when she was on a battlefield.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Terra Kato but you can also call me whatever you want." he said, not explaining why he was out in the bloody Battle Grounds. It was best not to say. His ears were directed towards the woman and his purple tail continued to swish lazily behind him.

Evlin crossed one arm under her chest, tucking her hand between her arm and her ribs. She tapped her cheek free hand smiling still. Terra was a cute little neko-neko. What was he doing in such a dark place? Evlin had reason but did he? However, she didn't find it in her place to ask why he was there. If he wanted her to know, he would tell her.
A small giggle escaped the young (ancient) woman after she had realized she left a smudge of red lipstick on the teenagers cheek.
"Terra? That's a lovely name I'd have to say," she said lightly, one leg crossed in front of the other. It was a good thing she had excellent balance or she would have fallen in the heels she were wearing.
Her violet eyes wandered around the grounds once more, falling upon each and every fallen man. Her smile began to vanish as the setting really sank in. She no longer wanted to be there but she didn't move.

Terra didn't feel the smudge of lipstick on his cheek. So when Evlin giggled at it, he tilted his head to the side like a confused cat or dog. One of his cat ears pointed itself at the woman while his other cat ear pointed itself away, listening for small sounds so that nothing would or could sneak up on the two.
The reason the Stray was here? Terra was simply here because, believe it or not, he kind of liked the gloomy place. He had needed to get away from people for a short while. Not that he minded Evlin's company though. Terra just wanted to get away from the people that stared at him or threw things at him. They were just idiots.
"Most people mistake me for a girl. My name doesn't really help." Terra said with an amused smile. Most people he ran across in either form believed him to be a girl and his given name didn't help his 'I'm a boy' cause. Terra was actually surprised that Evlin could tell he was actually male. It was strange when he first met someone and they could tell. Strange, but not sad.
When Terra saw her look around and her face fall, he looked at her with concern. "Do you want to leave? You don't look very healthy right now Evlin." Terra said, taking a step closer and looking at her in the eye carefully. If the young woman wasn't feeling well, Terra could help her out of the Battle Grounds. After all, not many people liked his company but Evlin seemed to.

When Terra tilted his head to the side, Evlin licked her thumb and, like a mother would, wiped the lipstick away from this cheek with her moist thumb. "You had a little lipstick there... All better." She tilted her head to the side slightly, smiling as her black curls bounced slightly.
She didn't find it surprising that people often confused Terra for a girl. If it wasn't for his aura and Evlin's psyche abilities, she wouldn't have known. Because she was so sensitive to aura's, she easily could tell.
Her smile vanished after she took in the aura of the area and the sites. So many had fallen so long ago. He had asked if she was okay and if she wanted to leave. She did but she didn't say anything. Instead, she said, "No, I'm fine. I just need to feed," she nodded a little as her eyes took on an earthy tone with a hint of green. She was feeding from a nearby tree though it wasn't long before her eyes returned to their normal dark violet hue. She couldn't take a lot from trees because they had nothing but their life force. Unlike a human that had multiple energies that she could choose from.
"It's sad," she said after a while, "All these people losing their lives."

Terra watched as Evlin's eyes changed a different color, a greenish tone, and back again. What was the woman? Terra sniffed the air, already knowing that she wasn't human anyway. But he couldn't tell what she was. It's not like he had Axel's half demon's nose. Aqua or something like that. She could tell you what species anyone was, no matter how hard you tried to hide the fact.
Terra didn't ask for her species, figuring that he would be able to tell after a while of staying with her. The neko took in Evlin's words and nodded. "Yea, but most of them have been reborn as something else. Maybe they turned into angels or demons." he said after another moment of silence. Terra knew people could be reborn as other things but the only angel and demon he knew were bron from humans. Which probably wasn't very normal for an angel or demon/half-demon.

Evlin just smiled as Terra sniffed the still air. She wondered what exactly he was sniffing for. If it was to distinguish what exactly she was, she knew Terra might have a hard time finding it out. Unlike most vampires, she didn't need to feed off of blood. Because she didn't, her aura and vampire scent was far weaker than blood-feeders. Evlin liked this because it gave her the element of surprise when it was needed. It took a great sense to figure this puzzle out.
Her eyes slowly closed. She always looked more peaceful when her eyes were closed - no matter what she was doing or whether she wore a smile or not. Terra had said that the warriors could have been reborn. Angels or demons. "May their blessed souls rest in peace either way." It was all she said in response to Terra.
She did open her eyes again after a while. A soft smile appeared on her lips once more. She started to wonder if Terra would be able to figure her out. Either way, it didn't really matter. She didn't plan on fighting the neko-neko so she didn't care if he found her out.

Terra took in Evlin's words, nodding in response. He looked back at the scattered beaten bodies, right ear twitching slightly. Though most didn't know it, a lot of bodies laid in in the cities, looking just like this. Either in alley's, underground tunnels, or other hidden and dark places where most mortals didn't dare go. The neko wanted to know if it was normal to be born as a angel without any past life. After all, Xion hadn't ever seen any other angels or been sent anywhere to listen to anyone.
The neko gave up on trying to find out what Evlin was, seeing as she seemed to carry no scent. If only Aqua was here. Axel's friend could tell you what everyone and everything was, just by one sniff. It was quite amazing. "It is strange for an angel to have no ties to other angels or have no past life?" Terra blurted out, the question bothering him. He was guessing it was strange, being born from two purebred humans.

Evlin took in Terra's question and pondered it for a moment. She really hadn't met many angels in her life time. She was an ancient creature but angels seemed to be a rare thing to come by. Demons, on the other hand, seemed to be far too common. Though, her slightly tainted aura might draw more evil than good. No matter how hard she believed she was pure. She wasn't.
However, all the angels Evlin had met had something that tied them to their past life. There was always something. So the only conclusion that Evlin could come to was that, no, it wasn't a common thing. Angels usually had something to connect them.
Slowly, she shook her head and replied, "No, sorry. Why do you ask?
She tilted her head slightly in curiosity, her soft eyes trained on Terra.

So it wasn't common for an Angel to be like Xion? Venus chewed lightly on his bottom lip, wondering why. "I know someone that's like that. I was just wondering" he said after a moment. So was there something wrong with Axel's friend? Evlin had just said it wasn't common, but the way she had said it sounded more like she had never heard of it. Maybe the Angel was cursed?
"She was born to two purebred humans." he added in, also wondering if it was normal for an Angel to be born to humans and not created. Were the other Angels created? Or maybe they were born to. Terra sure didn't know. The neko couldn't help as one of his cat ears twitched for a moment again.
