As Namine stared into the dark but brightly starred night sky, she couldn't help but not be happy. Ever since she and Roxas had joined their Somebodies, they hadn't been able to talk to each other. She didn't know why but she just was mesmorized by him. His ocean blue eyes...They always seemed to comfort her in the worst of times.
But she knew the horrible truth about him. That he didn't love her back. She had loved him ever since she had met him. Tacky and sappy but that was the truth. Roxas seemed like the only one she could really trust after all of those years with the Organization. Those plain white walls...They were her cage and she was the bird. The bird that had fallen in love with one of the pieces of the cage.
But Axel and him were in love back then, always around each other. They never came to see her once. Only for missions. Roxas didn't care about her back then, so why should he now? Or maybe he did but only because Axel had died. A tear slid down her cheek.
Always. Always had she watched them from her windows and always had she watched all of is memories over and over. But she had always been the silent, out of place girl that didn't belong. Axel and Roxas were always off together while she stayed in that sad little room, drawing the memories from him.
Why was Fate so cruel? Why did she have to even know him? Maybe if she ran now she could escape. But that was stupid. Too well, she knew that once Kairi woke up from her pleasant dreams, she herself would disappear back into her Somebodies's body until the next sleep.
Kairi. She had it so easy. Sure, she had been taken to the Castle for a little wihle but not for years. She had even been saved by Namine, even though Namine could have been killed for such behavior. The only reason she was still alive today was because she had to put Sora's memories back together.
Sora. He had it harder than Kairi, but still not as hard as Namine. Sure, he was thrown around between the worlds in searching for his friends but still, he had never been tortured. Not like Namine had.
Namine had been severely tortured, though no one except the dead knew besides herself. Roxas didn't care to know back then. But now he seemed to care so much. An act was all it was. A munipulative mind game to bend and break her even more. Why did she always have to suffer?
Why couldn't she become a Somebody with a heart? That was always what she wished for. That way she could get as far away from this idiotic people as she could.
Again, Roxas wasn't the only one with a mind game set. Kairi may have been a Princess but she was still evil, no matter what people said about her heart being filled with light. Yea right. Kairi was planning to break Sora until he killed himself, leaving her in the arms of the oh so wonderful Riku.
Riku. The stupid idiot who 'loved' Kairi. That was another lie. He liked some other girl from another place. He wanted to see how much he could crack Kairi. Also, he acted as if though he had it that hardest, though Sora had it harder. He always talked about himself being the best. He thought so highly of himself.
So where did that leave her, the already broken one? In the back of the closet with every one of the other forgotten childhood toys? Did they ever wonder 'Where did my old puzzles go?' or 'Where's Namine?'. No, none of them cared. But she cared about the worst of them all. Roxas.
She even liked his name. His smell...She liked everything about him. Though he just liked her pain.
"Namine, I love you."
