Do you ever feel already buried deepSix feet under scream A loud metallic noise rang throughout the forest, breaking the peacefulness of the clear night and scaring the small wildlife under bushes and into their homes. Another one echoed and suddenly all was silent for a few moments before another clang was heard. If one was to actually look for the source they would have to travel into the heart of the forest into one of the rare clearings. Even under the waning moon it was easy to see around this clearing due to orbs of light from lanterns held by a few people. Without saying anything else most people would guess this to be a traveling party. Though with a better look you could easily tell something was going on. The cloaked people holding the lanterns stood to the side silently as a battle raged in the center of the clearing. Grass was burnt in some places and both parties at battle were badly injured. The first one wore weak leather armor that had been sliced through at numerous places and had shortly cut light hazel hair.
He held a sword in one hand and was standing over the other person, clearly becoming victorious. The person on the ground wasn't a person but a wolf whose pelt was clumped and shone with injuries. They stared up, panting, with bright pink eyes that seemed too clear to be an actually animal. The group with the lanterns were smiling and whispered quietly to each other, occasionally snickering down at the wolf. The male raised his sword and quickly chopped it downwards, severing the wolf's head from its body. A moment later it became a female with long silver hair and pink eyes that were opened in shock and fear. Animal marks like a cheetah's dotted her body at random and the male smirked down before kicking the head away and towards the group with lanterns. Some backed away while others laughed at the severed head.
"Another one of the filthy animals have been killed. Let's head back to report to Aillon." the executioner said with a stretch of his arms over his head. The group nodded for the most part and followed after the man into the trees. One stayed where they stood, face and body hidden beneath a green cloak so dark it appeared black now that the orbs of light were gone. The hood moved side to side as if the person was looking around. They then walked over to the deceased girl and crouched down by the head. Their fingers carefully closed the young girl's eyes as a wind blew, the hood blowing backwards.
It was also a girl though she appeared older then the deceased, who seemed around ten. The cloaked girl had long black-blue hair that was put into ponytails and went all the way past her knees. The girl's skin was also unhealthily pale and it seemed to glow slightly in the moon's limited light. Her eyes were the brightest though, a bright blue that took in the fallen female. Slowly tears rose into the eyes as her lingering fingers retreated and were used to wipe away them. Her fingers then reached down and traced over a cheetah spot before the female stood.
The cloak reverted to its seemingly normal look as did the girl's clothes. The cloak was now unzipped and black with a small blue star on the center of its back. Instead the cloak was held in place at the top along the girl's neck. Short black shorts and a string top appeared from the average looking clothes and the work boots were replaced with heeled and knee high black boots. The girl's arms were encased by her cloak but from one of her arms raced small spots which sprayed over her body until they settled in random spots and became cheetah spots just like the young girl. They were colored a light gray like the small female's.
"Yet another attack against shapeshifters..."
How was she supposed to be on a journey while her own kind was being hunted by these strange people? Shaking the thoughts from her head, the fifteen year old looked around once again before turning to run into the trees away from the retreating group. But then she froze as she peered sideways into the trees. Her form disappeared into air as footsteps sounded close to the clearing. She held her air form together as she watched the trees, waiting to see who was coming. But no one seems to hear a thingRant;; ---Wow that's long o-o I actually had another way I was planning to post this where Roxiri was the one getting ready to be killed but she would disappear into air...Then I decided that it was too cliche for her to black out or something so I made this XD The lyrics are from Katy Perry's Firework even though I don't like that song o-o I heard the lyrics and decided to put them in place of some Cobra Starship or The Pretty Reckless because they didn't really fit XD I think I've said enough now o-o

A jet black wolf with silver tipped fur stood hunched over the corpse of an adult doe. His face, buried in the shallow, yet wide, crevice as he tore off large chunks of flesh and organs with his stained red canines. His fur was dripping with the thick red liquid of the doe’s blood. His ears stood up on end as a sudden high metallic ringing echoed through the forest like a sonic wave, and although the wolf was on the edge of the forest, his sensitive hearing had picked up the fading sound with ease. His head rose from the carcass as his head scoped out ninety degrees of his right side, where he had presumed the sound to have come from. He slowly rose so that he stood at his full height, the average size of a young human child, as he looked out into the forest, growling slightly. He quickly turned his head to the shadows behind him as a dark human figure slowly walked towards him.
”There’s a fight going on, let’s go.” The voice was dark and mysterious, just like the figure that it belonged to. Whoever, or whatever this eerie figure was, he seemed to be holding onto something that was attached to his right hip. They wolf, and the figure, also seemed to completely trust one another, and it was almost as if the wolf could completely understand what this person was talking about, as it nodded in response.
The large shadowy wolf started to slowly stride deeper into the dark depths of the forest, almost disappearing as the black fur hid it well. The dark stranger seemed to vanish too as he bounded forwards and leapt high into the canopy of the trees, hidden completely from view. The wolf’s paws drummed heavily into the wet mud beneath as he started to increase in speed, running faster than seemed possible in the low vision. Its eyes lit up in a light green glow, like a cats in the dark, perfect evidence for night vision, making this wolf, no normal wolf.
Dimly lit lights came into the wolves and the dark figures view as they both crouched low behind their own covers. The figure; behind a thick wall of branches and dark leaves, and the wolf, ducked low behind a large bush; both, completely hidden by not only the surreal looking forest, but by their own little walls of nature. The dull orbs of light slowly started to bob away as the humans, obviously hunters hunting a poor and defenceless being and then killing it in a crueller manner than needed, had finished with their little game and decided to head back home with their spoils. The wolf slowly started to rise out of his hiding place, when he caught sight of another being, again human, turning back to the creature on the floor. It was hard to tell, but the black blob seemed to appear human, almost. The wolf slowly took a step forward, only a small one, when the human reached down to the corpse as it’s features appeared to morph. But he made a mistake.
SNAP! the loud noise echoed through the air as the wolves humongous bulk split a small branch in half. He quickly froze, the human had heard the sound, it would have been impossible not to. It disappeared, which confused the wolf, and his dark companion who was still watching from the trees. But they remained still and silent, playing chicken with the human, seeing who would be the first to give up and come out into sight. They were reluctant not to lose.

Do you ever feel already buried deepSix feet under scream The girl turned around in a circle, looking for whatever had made such a loud noise. Had the hunting party come back for the girl's body? Surely not, seeing as most wouldn't even touch a shapeshifter if they were together with that group. It was strange, being air. Her father hadn't been able to change into air and had always asked her how it felt. She could never put into words how she had to keep her body together unless she wanted to float apart.
The shapeshifter must have stayed like for a minute or two, nor daring to return to her usual form. What if the party came back? The dead girl at the shapeshifter hadn't been as powerful as her, only being able to transform into animals and having minor fire attacks. That's why the girl, against her animal instincts, had only looked away and not helped. It would have made no difference if she had died as well. No, she had to get the court's attention to these killings. But there was no way to. Some nobles even helped by buying things secretly. But maybe the royal family...
The girl shook her head, air shimmering in that spot. No, there was no way for her to approach any of the royal family members of any kingdom. No other nobles were shapeshifters as far as she knew so she would have close to none back-up. For now she would just have to track the party.
Slowly the shapeshifter slipped from her air form, body appearing as it had a few minutes before. No people like that would wait quietly. It must have been a wild animal or something. The girl sniffed the air, smelling only the blood that was pooling around the girl. It was a strong scent, blocking out the individual scents she could usually make out except when too sick to. Instead of dwelling on that fact the girl kneeled down by the dead being, wondering what she could do for her. The shapeshifter carried no shovel and it would be morning by the time she could make a proper hole big enough for her.
"I'll leave you out to see our brothers and sisters." the shapeshifter said quietly, standing afterwards. Roxiri saw herself more closely related to the animals that ran the woods then the humans or other species she usually met in cities and towns or on travelling routes. The girl looked around, paronia creeping up on her. It felt as if eyes were watching her through the trees. The shapeshifter could easily imagine the party sneaking up on her, having known of her presence the whole time.
"Hello?" the shapeshifter said more then asked, eyes watching the woods around her.
But no one seems to hear a thing

Watching the girl from the shadows, neither man nor wolf made a sound. Nor did they even dare to move. It almost seemed as if they weren’t even breathing. The large back wolf was trying act as though it was a smaller creature than that of the human girl. A weaker creature, one that as soon as it knew it had been found out, had fled as quietly as possible, all in the hopes that the girl would lower her guard once more. The large and dark orbs of the wolf slowly moved as it looked up into the trees where it’s human companion currently sat, watching him and looking for the girl who had mysteriously vanished.
A shapeshifter? The large wolf thought to himself as he continued to watch the unnerving darkness for any signs of the mysterious girl. Or... just really fast... The wolf was speculating all possible rationalities as to why this human girl had just simply vanished. She can’t be a werewolf, an Elf, or a Vampire... she would have found me and Zane by now. She’d be able to smell us.[/ i] The wolf was confused as he watched any signs for the girls reappearance, and just as he was about to slowly take a careful and cautious step forward, she appeared again.
What confused the wolf further, was the fact that even though, when she appeared to not be there, he could still smell her scent. Though the scent was confused, for reasons he couldn’t tell, it was definitely there. It was too strong to just be an after print, which meant that she couldn’t have run away. Unless she had been so fast that she could continuously run around that small little meadow over and over again without his keen eye picking up on the dainty figure of her body. No, she had to have been there, the entire time; else the scent wouldn’t be so strong. The wolf was starting to become anxious now, he could feel his urge to either flee or fight slowly starting to rise. He started comparing his odds. He was bigger than she was, much bigger, and most likely, faster and stronger, Which meant that he could outrun her if it came to it, or even overpower her.
He decided to fight, no doubt Zane would have laughed at him if he ran from a girl, or even lost in a fight against her. But he also knew that if he did fight against the girl, and possibly kill her, then Zane would have a go at him even more. Not that he cared; he’d prefer to kill than be killed. As he turned his attention back to the girl again, and paused as she called out a casual “hello” in a random direction, he had guessed that he and Zane had been found out, somewhat. The wolf slowly took a step forward, this time, careful not to stand on anything that would give his position away. He slowly moved like a ghost from his cover, creeping slowly towards the meadow with the girl. A familiar scent hit him suddenly, and the closer he got, the stronger it became. It was the scent of a shapeshifter, of another of his kind. Though, he detested the scent. It made him remember things that he wished he could forget, things he wished he wouldn’t remember. A low growl erupted from deep within his chest, a low and vicious growl, threatening and dangerous. Slowly, the wolf’s humongous bulk slowly became visible in the low moonlight, his black fur shimmering with the silver glow as he approached the girl.

Do you ever feel already buried deepSix feet under scream Roxiri stood there for moments, animal instincts telling her that there was someone out there. She couldn't hear anything though, at least not after the loud snap she heard. Blood still clogged all other scents from her, hiding whoever was here. The shapeshifter crouched as if an animal, all fours on the ground. Her cloak disappeared as well as it fell past her body and onto the ground, leaving her in the clothing underneath. After another moment she heard a growl of a large animal. She didn't move, eyes trained on the spot where the growling was coming from. Her curiosity kept her rooted to the spot instead of her merely disappearing again.
Slowly a wolf appeared and Roxiri's stomach twisted. The wolf was huge, larger then any wolf should be, and so dark that if there was no moonlight you would never see it. The chill went down her spine but soon she found herself growling back, staring down the wolf. But it soon became clear that this was no normal wolf. Normal animals in a situation like this would either run away at her scent or be drawn in calmly by it. Was this a member of the hunting party? She growled louder, skin hardening and turning into a silver metal along with her clothing as well. If the wolf attacked her at worst it would hurt its teeth or break a claw.
Roxiri stopped growling, still watching the wolf with her unnaturally bright aqua eyes. If it really was an animal it would probably still attack her. But it couldn't be a normal wolf with such a look to it. No, it had to be part of the hunting party or a werewolf. Or a...shapeshifter? No, it couldn't be. Roxiri had never meet another one of her kind besides her father. Even her mother had been human. "Don't even think about it." the shapeshifter said, eyes on the wolf. If it wasn't an animal then surely it knew that it would be smart enough to not attack her at the moment.
A breeze blew by, ponytails of long and fine slivers of metal blew with the wind. Roxiri would wait to see if the wolf would either leave or try to attack her anyway. The shapeshifter had decided what the wolf could really be. It was mostly between a werewolf or a skilled mage, though the though of it being a shapeshifter was quickly abandoned. If it was, why would it attack her after seeing another shapeshifter killed? Or had it? The questions ran through the fifteen-year old's head quickly, some whizzing by so fast that she couldn't tell you what the question had even been.
Though, whatever it was, it could still be a hunter of her kind. Roxiri wondered how quickly she would be able to turn into something able to fly. Or to just grow wings. Not as fast as air, which was her key of fleeing. But the shapeshifter wasn't fleeing. No, she was going to find out what this wolf was. The female was oblivious to another pair of eyes on her and didn't even think about the chance that the wolf wasn't alone. Instead she stared at the wolf, ready to wait it out if she really needed to.
Roxiri felt like cursing at her luck. She hadn't thought to bring her bow and arrows or even to bring a dagger. Of course she could shift her arm into one. But what good would it do at that moment? "Why are you growling at me? I know you're more then a wolf." Roxiri said, body tensed.
But no one seems to hear a thing

Zane and Blade The huge black wolf eyed the girl suspiciously. He had watched her slowly crouch down onto her fours, matching his current stance, and then slowly watched as her skin turned into a dull metal, glistening in the glow of the moon. His fur seemed to stand on end and he stopped walking and simply stood in front of her. His bristled up fur made the wolf seem even bigger than he actually was, and his razor like teeth seemed even more threatening as he bared them in a growl. He had confirmed the species of the girl, she was a shapeshifter. He hated shapeshifters. The wolf quickly shook his head at the thought, as if the action would shake the horrible memories that were slowly starting to resurface, from his mind completely. Not that it worked that well.
The wolf could feel his hot blood starting to pump furiously through his veins as his large body started to prepare itself for the fight, knowing now that this would be much harder than it appeared. Killing a shapeshifter was never easier. But the wolf believed that Zane would either stop him, or help him either way; and there was no way that he was going to let some puny ass girl beat him. Not now, not ever. The wolfs claws suddenly seemed to glow a bright red as he exposed them from the fur on his paws, and they slowly grew longer at an alarming rate. ”Hah! Let’s see that metal skin survive under my claws of fire!” He snarled in thought as he stared out his opponent.
The wolf slowly crouched forwards onto his front legs as he prepared to lunge, and just as he started his run, he quickly bolted to the right of the girl, running at speeds that wouldn’t seem possible. A vicious snarl made his lips curl from his fangs as he lunged at the right side of the metal girl. His razor sharp talons, now made of steel and coated with a fiery skin, swung for her right side as his large snout aimed for her shoulder. He was going to use the strong muscles in his snout to rip into the girls shoulder and rip it apart to try and end this fight as quickly as possible.
If the first attack missed however, the large bulk of the wolf would quickly leap back and begin to slowly circle the young shapeshifter girl. His enraged black orbs focused on her at all times, never once taking her from his sight as he would search for any sign of a weakspot on her armoured skin.

Do you ever feel already buried deepSix feet under scream Roxiri stood still, watching as the wolf fulled emerged and finally stopped in front of her. The wolf's fur was on end, making him larger, and his teeth glistened in the little moonlight. The shapeshifter breathed quietly, looking at the wolf as it shook its head. The animal still bared its teeth, growling loudly. Or, at least loudly to the fifteen year old. The rest of the forest seemed to still be in shock after the last battle, having not been too long ago. Roxiri looked up for a moment, feeling like something else was there.
And by the time she looked back to the wolf its claws were out. They were bright red and much longer then claws should be. The large black wolf suddenly took off, running off to the right side of the female. Her eyes followed and she moved to get away but large slashes were felt. Her skin itself was fine, merely having thin white scratches in the tough metal. But it had hurt her still, feeling like she had been slashed open by the claws. She bit her bottom lip from letting out a sound of pain when suddenly her shoulder was being bitten. The metal was dented and she looked over to the wolf who was still on her.
She turned to air and reappeared a moment later, metal skin glittering off the moonlight a few yards away. She had used an air flow to move and was holding her dented shoulder, glaring at the wolf. Her shoulder appeared to fix itself as well as the marks on her side disappeared, though she could still feel the pain of it being there. There was no doubt in the shapeshifter's mind now that this wolf, or whatever it was, had to be the hunting party. Why else would it be in such a place, attacking her?
But she wasn't going to die like the small girl off to the side, eyes blind to what was happening. Roxiri was not dying here, not tonight. The shapeshifter also wasn't going to encourage the attacks either though. Her shape quickly flowed from her mostly human form to one of a panther. It was its natural coloring except for having her eye color, a dull black that actually had spots that you would have to look closely to see. She was posed in a defensive way, claws out and legs tensed if she had to jump away.
"Stop this. There's no reason to attack me, wolf." Roxiri said, watching the black form not too far away from herself. Her lips were drawn back in a warning, though the only growl that came out had come with her words. Her eyes were still staring at the canine, though her ears swiveled. This wolf was not alone, she was sure. Something had to be or she wouldn't feel eyes on herself, even though the female couldn't smell him. "Who else is here?" she growled once again, not really asking the wolf but asking the person or the thing that was watching the attack.
But no one seems to hear a thing

The large wolf let out a hideous snarling sound as his teeth clamped down on the girls shoulder. He started to shake his head, trying desperately to pierce the metallic skin while trying to cause as much damage as possible, and possibly, tear the entire arm. But when the girl suddenly vanished from his vice grip, by turning into mere gas, he snarled and quickly jumped back, watching his surroundings for her re-appearance. It seemed as if his lips curled into a sadistic wolfy grin when she finally morphed back into her former form, but his grin vanished when he saw that his attempts to maim the girl had failed, horribly. Though, he could clearly see that she was in pain because of her injuries, which offered some form of consolation.
He paused and watched the girl as she once again, shrank down to her all fours, only this time, her form started to shift, much like it had when she had turned her skin into metal. The wolf let out a howl of hoarse and rough laughter as he watched her take the form of a Panther, one of the big cats. The wolf found it to be hilarious that know they were locked in a battle of races, two races that are considered to be rivals. Canine Vs Feline. The wolf snickered again as he seemed to calm somewhat, almost as if he seemed to think that the winner of the battle had already been decided, and he would prove victorious. His dark orbs never left the large cats features as he circled her, studying her. He was taking a mental note of the cats muscle sizes and mapping out each of her blind spots and her weak spots as he made a wide circle around her. Just because he still looked like the stronger of the two, he no longer trusted her speed. Although he had some idea as to how fast she could move, and how much distance she could cover in a single bound, shapeshifters were tricky. They could always change something as simple as body limitations with ease during battle, especially those that knew how to fight.
The black wolf was taken aback some as the girl sudden started to speak again to him. This lapse of concentration on her half would cost her, so she was either sure of her capabilities, or was trying to talk her way out of the fight which he was so keen for. He wanted the shapeshifters blood.
”Do not order me around, Shapeshifter,” he retorted, ”you have no right to try and order me around. Just because you can switch form so easily, doesn’t mean I’ll stop.” The wolf’s voice was deep and hoarse, and although he spoke in a human tongue, it still sounded like he was growling, which made what he said sound even more threatening than it already was. His eyes narrowed when she accused him of being alone, though, of course, it was obvious as to why she could pick up Zane’s scent now, a cats sense of smell was better than that of a human; though, he mused that she still wasn’t too sure as to where Zane’s exact location was, or if he was actually there or not. But the wolf tried to not think about it too much, getting to caught up in what could be a trap to make him lower his guard, may end up costing him his life.
”What makes you think I’m not alone, Girl? Do you really look down on me that much that you think that I am just a simple coward that cannot hold his own during a fight with a little shapeshifter girl like you? I should rip you apart.” He snapped at her, growling as he spoke. The wolf was quick to anger, and his temperament was starting to become clear as he continued to stalk around the feline.

Do you ever feel already buried deepSix feet under scream The panther watched as the larger wolf circled around her. The reason of her decision of a slightly smaller feline was obvious if they had thought about her normal form as well. The shapeshifter never decided her forms on strength or such, usually picking them for speed. That and it was a much easier shape to control as a feline, able to twist away, leap, and more. The shapeshifter didn't comment on the laughter she had heard before changing but kept her eyes on him as the wolf made circles.
She moved her body with the wolf, making sure that her back was never to him. Roxiri had been in too many fights for someone her age, though most of them had been over what she had been. The shapeshifter had been in previous battles like what had killed the young girl, ending in her bounding away in a moment of distraction. Though this wolf was too fast to run from and flying would take a moment. And the person, whoever they were, could shoot her down or the wolf could jump at her if she didn't get up fast enough.
Roxiri tensed as the wolf began to talk in a deep almost gravelly voice. Almost like growling, even. "Well I'm sorry. From the way you were acting I had a feeling you were just an animal." she fired back though it was obvious she hadn't really thought him to be an animal at all. She took in a whiff of the air, far enough from the blood that it wasn't blinding her nose. Yes, there was another person here. A human.
"I don't think that you're not alone. I know you're not because I can smell it. You have a human with you." Roxiri said, ears pointed towards the human she could now smell. No, she held nothing against humans. Well, not against most humans at least. This one hadn't done anything to her as far as she knew. Or it could be the one from earlier that had struck down another shapeshifter in this very clearing.
But no one seems to hear a thing

The wolf stopped circling the smaller cat as he watched her curiously. She showed no signs of fear, but he could also tell that she did not wish to fight, he felt like she would prefer to run, and would do so if given the chance. The wolf started to churn up the dirt below his padded paws with his fiery claws as he stared deep into the sapphire eyes of the feline with his own morbid black ones. Being a shapeshifter, he knew that she could transform into anything that she wanted and flee in any way that she thought would be possible at any given moment, which meant that he could take no chances. He had to get her here. But then, he also knew something that she didn’t, he was still hiding something up his sleeve—or his fur in this case, something which she wouldn’t have considered yet.
He watched her as she sniffed the air around them, and it was obvious that she had caught Zane’s scent, yet still had no idea as to his current location. But the wolf could, because he had spent so much time with the human, he had become comfortable around his scent, and could pick it up with ease. So he knew that Zane was now, in fact, running around through the canopy of the trees around the small little meadow; never staying in the same spot, moving as quickly and as quietly as he could.
”And I had a feeling that you were some little shapeshifter shit who was going around hunting more of your own kind for you own safety against the humans.” The wolf snarled as he glared at the female shapeshifter, his attention focused once again on her. Though, he knew that Zane would be unhappy about his growing anger and the fact he had revealed some information, even if it wasn’t about him. ”Stupid fucking Zane, he should stop following me around and telling me what to do” the wolf thought to himself as he slowly lowered down into a crouch again.
”You’re right, I’m not alone” the wolf snickered ”but that shitty and puny human wont be stepping into this fight if he knows what’s good for him.” The wolf laughed a rough laugh as he looked around into the forest and growled into it, as if at the human now; which of course, it was, since he was growling and Zane, and telling him to stay out of the way.
