swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowIt was a quiet warm night in the large city of Obscur, who's Daikans and traveling merchants had woken up long ago. Most citizens of this city slept during the day for one reason or another but now, around midnight, the city was alive with many different types of people. Animals, or people in animal form, also ran throughout the city's streets with no regard for people who caught strays. Most traveled in packs, so they had nothing to worry about. Levi, though, had a lot of things to worry about. His eldest sister had been sneaking out for the nth time in her life and had been intercepted by the young Daikan prince. She had continued to get ready, only needing to put her long, strangely colored hair up to hide it from view. He had watched, dismayed by the fact his sister cross dressed just so she could sneak out. But she had done it so many times that Reno had perfected the image, looking more male each time she did it. Then Reno had turned to Levi, a wicked gleam in her purple-pink colored eyes. She had an idea, one that Levi had rejected at first, and it was worse then the fact flowers straightened as he passed. But when the rebel-like princess got an idea in her head, it was rare that she didn't act on it. Levi had found himself sitting at her vanity, Reno's only trusted lady-in-waiting helping as his sister did evil. Levi stumbled slightly, glaring downward as he walked. His feet were encased in small heeled sandals, black in color. Anyway, his sister had finished not long ago before bringing him to the city, promising to stick with him. Though the second they entered a crowd of people on one of the main streets, Reno had lost the smaller then average sixteen year old. He stopped walking on the side street, turning to look in one of the rarely closed stores' windows. He couldn't recognize himself, wondering how his sister had even been capable of this. His girlish form and short height had been used against him. The sixteen year was, excuse the frankness, in drag. Reno had dressed him up against his will then dragged him into the city for the night. He wore a short black dress as well, which ended right above his knees. His arms and legs had been carefully shaved by Reno's lady-in-waiting so that his sister could dress him in such a way. Extensions had been clipped into his hair, making it down to his waist instead of ending before his shoulders. The spikes had also been combed down, making the hair and extensions slightly wavy. His raspberry-colored eyes were ringed with black and his lips had something with a light shade on, along with some jewelry. He grimaced before turning from his reflection, feeling weird with the fact his sister had made himself look so girly. He adjusted his bra's straps, slipping them back onto his shoulders. It was heavily padded, leaving no room for anything that a girl would have. Tonight was not going his way in the least, the biggest factor being he was not only lost, but in drag that his sister had forced him into. And, to top it off, he was now on some strange side street filled with closed-for-the-night stores. Flowers planted on one side of the street straightened as the miserable Daikan passed before slowly bending back into their natural positions. Suddenly the prince felt a chill go up his spine and he paused, listening for any noise that might be his sister. Make you say
Oh My!

>Human< "Whats a guy like you doing dressed like you are in the middle of a section of closed shops?" Alex asked, walking out from an alleyway nearby. He couldn't recognize who it was, but he could tell easily from the scent that appearances were deceiving in this particular case, no matter how well it was covered up by what had happened to him.
He had debated coming out as a wolf... But he doubted that would have been much help to him in this particular instance. Besides... He was already scouting the area as a human. He was planning on coming back later in the night to grab some food as a wolf.
"There's got to be a reason." Shadow watched him closely. This guy had everything. Looked and felt like a girl. Traveling over the clothing with his eyes Shadow nearly growled himself. That just wasn't right. He had seen the grimace when the boy looked into the mirror. Neither Shadow nor Levi liked what had been done to him.
And come to think of it. Shadow really wouldn't even come out of his hiding places for something like this, but he saw the guy looking for something. And that had pricked his interest. What could a man dressed like a woman be looking for in the middle of a bunch of closed shops. It was too great to pass up.

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowLevi had nearly let out some sort of startled noise as a voice from seemingly nowhere said something. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled as someone walked out from a dark alleyway. His raspberry orbs darted around for someone else, panicked at the thought that he was suddenly alone with a stranger who had popped out of nowhere. His eyes didn't see anyone else on the empty side street, which both relieved the prince and frightened him. On the good side, this man was alone, without a gang or friends, and would be easier to loose in need be. The bad thing was that no one was near the two, meaning anything could happen and no one would know until they found the aftermath. The sixteen year old's eyes then went to the man himself, looking for some type of weapon. Nothing met his eyes, though weapons could be hidden. The prince let out one of his rare curses under his breath, eyes wide like a startled deer. Levi had never had this happen, his experiences away from the Palace few and far between. He felt like, when he found her, strangling Reno. This was all her fault for putting him in such clothing and then dragging him from the Palace. It took him a few moments of silence to realize the man hadn't approached and had spoken to him quite a few moments ago. The prince's skin pricked itself into goosebumps as the seemingly human man watched him closely. He was still frozen like a deer locked in a staring match with a predator. "It's none of your business." Levi shot back, scrunching his carefully tweezed eyebrows. He had tucked his fright away, appearing calmer then he felt. The man's gaze left the sixteen year old's stomach in knots by how attention he was paying toward the cross dressing male. People had always paid a lot of attention toward the young prince, especially when Reno renounced her position so he would be the next one to take the throne. But this person's attention was undivided, unnerving the young prince to no end. Oh yes, Reno was getting killed when he found her. Levi felt like asking the person for help to find his sister but then how could he explain the cross dressing of them both? The brown haired male steadied himself, looking at the man with challenge in his eyes. No way was he being jumped or raped or something his parents raved about tonight. "Why are you waiting in dark alleyways and now speaking to a total stranger?" the prince said, feeling the strong urge to chew on his thumb nail, which had been painted the shade of his eyes. Make you say
Oh My!

>Human< None of my business...Cute... Thats what you got. Asked someone if they needed help, albeit in an extremely round-about way, and they got all defensive. While it was amusing, it didn't help the situation any more. He half thought about either going wolf or threatening this man. He had no weapons on him, of course, but he could probably get a viable enough threat off of a few words and his fist.
He practiced a little restraint however. It had to be hard to be a cross-dressed man in the middle of a dark lane with no one but a strange man who just randomly appeared. He had to give the man credit for not being more freaked out then he was.
"To the first, I wait in dark alleyways all the time. To the second, I don't know why. You haven't given me a reason either way yet."
How how want to go wolf. This trembling fool dressed in woman's clothing was pissing him off. It made him want to rip the neck out of whoever was sick enough to dress him like this. And Levi himself for allowing it.

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowLevi gave the stranger a look with narrowed eyes as he went silent for a few moments. Where was his sister when he finally needed her to deal with something? Probably off doing whatever she always did in the city, which was...what exactly? He realized that while he had talked with Reno about the city, she had never brought up what she did there or why, exactly, she even came to Obscur. He kept his dark eyes on the man, taking small shuffled steps backwards. "I don't have to give you anything, including why my life seems to have turned upside down tonight." he said, stopping at the words and his doe-like eyes turning cold. Maybe it was the blue blood's raising or perhaps it was his family's stubborn traits but, either way, the prince didn't do good with taking orders. The sixteen year old stubbornly look at the stranger, folding his arms in front of him. Though he didn't know it, this made him look even more like a girl. He stood there, still challenging the man for some reason. One little corner of his mind was telling not to to freaking talk back to the larger and stronger stranger who probably could care less what happened to the prince. God, he didn't even know that the prince was in front of him and not some drag queen in training. The two halves of his mind argued with each other, one yelling at the other to tell or not to tell the man of the prince's linage. On one hand the man might be a good soul, so few and far between, and help him back to the Palace. As soon as that was thought, the fight was over. No way in hell would he help the prince when, instead, he could kidnap him for ransom. Or he would think the sixteen year old mostly human crazy. He was wearing a corset after all. Levi then noticed his glare had slipped and had been replaced by a sort of zoned out face, his bottom lip being chewed on as well. He snapped from it, glaring once again. "And now I'll be on my way. I don't like to spend my time with strangers who creep up on people and begin to speak with giving a name." he said evenly, turning on one heeled sandal in the hopeful direction of away from the man. Make you say

>Human< "I'm afraid I can't let you do that." He hadn't placed the man yet, but he wasn't about to give up so easy.
He had watched the man in girl's clothing closely as his expression seemed to slip from stubborn with a glare to wonder and then to a loss of expression completely. He could only assume the man was thinking hard about something. Very hard. Now what could consume so much thought that it made your very eyes seem out of focus and far away?
It was hard to tell when you were looking at a man in woman's clothing. But Shadow had an idea. This expressionless face had come after they both discussed Shadow being off in the Shadows...now who else would think about something so hard after a topic like that? Someone afraid of being kidnapped? He still didn't know who this man was...but he was almost there, and he wasn't about to let the man leave without at least finding out.
If he had to...there was always the persuasion option...after all...no one was around.
He waited for the man to turn, as one usually does when they are threatened by a man who came out of the shadows to randomly talk to them...either that or they ran. He could easily take care of that though. It wasn't as if the man was dressed to go on a jog anyway.

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowThe Daikan had been in the midst of taking the first step away from the man. Away from danger. But he instantly stopped, turning back around with a harsh glare. "And what're you gonna do to stop me? You're not the boss of me, last I checked." he shot back, not realizing what he was doing. This wasn't some petty order from his parents to help the gardener with the flowers. No, this was a stranger, who was stronger, faster, and stronger, and who hung around on side streets that were empty. But his ignored those facts, turning on his heel again as he began to walk away. The warm summer night had gotten uncomfortably chilled as the goosebumps remained on the younger male's arms. It wasn't really until he had taken a few steps that he realized what he had just done. Not only had he just turned his back on a stranger, he had also provoked him. The blue blood faltered in mid-step, making the small jerk of suddenly stopping with one foot in the air make him almost unbalancing the sixteen year old. Instead he continued to walk, the pause only being a moment or two at the most. His mind spun though, the clicking of his heels against the stone echoing in his ears as he tried to see if the man was following without turning around. No, he had to act like he wasn't frightened. Levi straightened up, acting with confidence he didn't really have at the moment. He didn't notice as the flowers continued to spring straight as he passed, already used to the fact. But wait, he could disappear from view with ease. He couldn't hold his breathe for long though, so he didn't dare reveal his other power. Unlike his sister's shadows, the public eye knew about both of his powers. Therefore, if he didn't reveal the second one, the strange man wouldn't have the urge to kidnap or attack or do something. Levi found comfort in that thought for about a step, then remembering the fact that he had back talked the man only a few moments earlier. A chill ran down the teenager's spine, clearly showing as he shivered. The man wouldn't do anything. After all, anyone could walk by...right? The stranger seemed to know much more about the city -- including this street -- then Levi. he said evenly, turning on one heeled sandal in the hopeful direction of away from the man. Make you say

>Human< >Wolf< If any were watching that day, they may not have believed their eyes. When Levi shot back at Shadow, there seemed to be the smallest pause of motion between both of them. The spectators eyes would first follow Levi, how could someone walk away from provoking a man like that in a way like that? And of course they'd see the trip up, the feigned bravery, the cowardice that still continued to show through that facade.
Now by the time those eyes looked back to see how the stranger had took the sentence, they would have only seen a black blur. A moment later and one could hear and see a collision that forced both the blurred object and the prince to the ground...face down. One could probably even swear they heard a growl from what looked to be a large dog as it brought its muzzle down beside the boy's ear.
What happened next is where the real confusion began. The black shape moved again, seeming to jump right back to where the stranger had previously been standing, and if one focused too long on the state of the prince after the tackle, they would look only to see the stranger standing where he was a few moments ago, a perfect calm facade masking his emotions. He simply walked over to the prince's side and offered a hand.
No one really knew what happened except for Shadow...and perhaps the prince...but maybe not even him.

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowThe next thing he knew, the prince felt something collide with his back. His raspberry-colored orbs opened wide, wondering if the man had done something to him. No, not wondering. He instantly thought something like an arrow with a lot of force behind it. But as he began to fall forward, squeezing his eyes shut tightly and arms out in front of him, the weight stayed with him. Levi didn't notice as he yelped loudly when he had first been collided with, but he did realize his quiet noise of pain. His arms had caught his fall, scrapping the slightly tanned skin and digging small rocks into the wounds as well as dirt and Gods know what else was on that ground. He also winced until his blood froze, raspberry eyes opened wide and frightened as an animal's growl sounded right next to his ear. Had the man sent some sort of animal at him? No, that was stupid. Where would he hide the thing until now? Unless...he was a werewolf or shapeshifter. The sixteen year old shut his eyes once again, waiting for something else to happened. But then the weight of the animal disappeared and footsteps headed towards the down blue blood. In response, Levi turned himself over, in a half laying down and half sitting up position to look up at the stranger. His skirt was riding slightly up and he tugged it down because whether it was a female's garment or not, it was still the only clothing he had on and with him. The fright had turned to anger by whatever had just happened, maybe because the stranger had caused it or maybe because he had been scared for nothing. Either way he ignored the hand, standing on his own with his side to the stranger. He pulled down the skirt again and turned to glare at the man. "I don't know what you just did, but it's not really helping with my night." the prince said, looking at his lower arms as they stung. Small cuts from ragged rocks along with lengths of scrapped raw skin were covering the skin that resided there, along with a sharp pang in the younger male's left wrist. He bit his lip for a second, worried that it would prevent his training with his longbow. No, it wasn't really the best time to think about such things. Finally he turned to look at the man, getting close to the stranger with an angry face. "What do you even want from me?" he said, glaring up at the much taller male. Still, he didn't move further away, glaring the man in the eye as he waiting for an answer.

>Human< Shadow didn't really expect Levi to accept his hand, nor would he have cared if he had. It was an offer of good sportsmanship more than anything. You helped someone up who you knocked down. But if Levi wanted to refuse, that was okay by him. What wasn't okay was the hostility that Levi took towards Shadow now. He deserved it, sure, but you didn't get in the face of a werewolf and expect everything to be peachy. Really, you didn't do it to anyone who was bigger, stronger and...well...not dressed like a chick.
His eyes followed Levi's at the inspection of his wrist. He hadn't really meant to hurt the boy with the leap. It was more of a warning than anything. For the boy to take him seriously. It obviously wasn't working. Shadow considered a second, more persuasive attack, but he had already gone far enough with the first blow. If anyone was around, he may have got lucky with the first and they could walk off thinking they were delusional...but they would be watching closer this time.
He kept his rage in check though... Something the smaller and younger boy was having trouble doing. "Simple. What's a guy like you doing dressed like you are in the middle of a section of closed shops? I asked you earlier and you turned away without giving a proper answer. I'd also like to know who you are." His eyes started calm, emotionless like before, but by the end, his eyes narrowed...and turned dangerous. "I'd also like to suggest calming yourself down."

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowLevi really hadn't gotten that hurt, besides his wrist. His knees were also slightly scrapped and his head hurt from everything that was going on though. But his wrist was important to him, mostly because it was the hand he used to draw back arrows. With an injury or sprain to it, he wouldn't be able to train and would have nothing to do but wander the gardens. He already hated the morning strolls his mother often told him to take, to make the grounds' plants stay healthy and beautiful. It was plain embarrassing to have the flowers lean towards him, as if fanning over him. Especially as servants passed or, worse, his sisters. Even Riatha would do something, like giggle or ask for a flower. He would conjure one up, of course for his youngest sister, but it was still embarrassing. The flowers nearby had grown slightly taller with his anger, the magic or whatever made them reaction leaking from his body. The younger male listened realizing how close he was and moved away, glaring still. He wasn't going to be afraid of some man just because they were in a deserted street and the man was dangerous. Well, he already had been. But now he was just mad at Reno and the stranger. His eldest sister had just lost him in the crowd, but she didn't seem to have come looking. After all, he had been looking for quite some time. Perhaps some of this anger was directed at the stranger, but the male also had his own actions inducing anger. "I'm sure I already answered that question, saying it was none of your business because it really isn't." he said, anger subdued at this point. That is, until the man told him to calm down. "I'm sorry, but I'm finding it hard to "calm myself" after I was forced into drag and then taken here before getting lost. This doesn't really happen everyday for me." he spat out, almost like a cornered feline. This day really had been stressful to the teenage prince but the night especially. None of this would have happened if he hadn't been stupid and tried to see where Reno was going once again. "And don't ask for a name until giving one yourself." he said with narrowed eyes, staring back into the man's and waiting for a response to anything he had just said. Levi didn't really care that he was baiting a werewolf, mostly because he didn't know that the man was really anything besides human and because he was angry and not thinking. Either way, he couldn't take back anything. Not that he really wanted to at that moment. In fact, he felt like going on and on if it didn't mean the man would learn more and more about Levi until realizing who he was. Make you say

>Human< Shadow, as a rule, didn't pay attention to flowers, and so, as they 'seemed' to grow taller, he ignored them. What did he care if plants were growing? It had nothing to do with what they were talking about. Quite irrelevant. He didn't know that it had to do with the boy's 'powers'.
What drew his attention was the boy's continued lack of respect for who he was dealing with. Again with the 'none of your business'. And then of course you had the 'not giving a name until you give one'. Insolent... Childish. And above all, to Shadow, mocking. He could care less if the boy knew that it was him that tackled him or not. The boy was trying his patience... And it was already wearing thin from Levi walking away from him.
What did he care that the boy was forced into women's clothing and dropped off here? Didn't give him the right to continue being arrogant to a werewolf. And even if it did, Shadow sure as hell wasn't going to acknowledge that right. The bottom line was, the man refused to say anything about the reason behind him being here as he was. And he also refused giving a name, demanding Shadow's first.
"I don't have a name. Your turn."
Shadow didn't bother concealing his anger any more. He wasn't shaking yet, but he was close. His teeth were gritted, his hands clenched just out of view in a semi-fist semi-claw form. What he wouldn't give for them to be off in the woods somewhere where he could really teach this fool a lesson. He'd rip him apart. He'd have to practice restraint for now... As much as he wanted to rip the boy's throat out.

swaying to my own sound Flashes in my face nowThe prince continued to meet the werewolf's gaze, not backing down from the man. Finally he realized what he was doing an looking away, glaring at the wall off to the side, yet another closed store front, as if it had done him a personal wrong. He couldn't get the stranger any angrier or he was sure that something bad would happen, as the the man squeezed his hands into fists and then claws. Levi stood unnaturally still for a moment before his eyes narrowed once again. "You're the one that pushed me down." he said, looking more pissed even though his anger had been ebbing away a few moments before. He continued to not give an answer to the first question he was given, being why he was here. His own hands were balled up into fists out of anger and frustration at this whole night. He wanted to hit the man, but he knew that would only make everything much worse. Instead he caught that the man offered no name. Why should he then? But wait, he could turn this around and get out of these clothes and make-up, stuffed bra, corset and whatever else he was wearing. He calmed himself, raspberry eyes gleaming similarly to how Reno's eyes had looked before dressing him like this. His anger had gone at an alarming rate, or merely channeled into something. "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me. But if I can get into some normal clothing, you would know right away who I was." the prince said, certain the werewolf wouldn't believe him either way. But if he could just get ahold of some male clothing and some, erhm, male undergarments, then he could sneak away using his second power before changing and then getting the hell out of there. That way he got into male clothing AND away from the stranger that seemed just a little too interested in the prince in drag. But Levi didn't look either cute or innocent during this, instead taking on his normal more calm attitude. He couldn't get the man angrier or he would end up jumped or something else his parents warned him about. Gods, had they made him paranoid. Not that he didn't think it wouldn't happen to him, he just knew all of this fighting was blamed upon his family for a good part. He awaited an answer, itching to get out of the uncomfortable female clothes. How could they wear all this everyday? He had done his best to completely bury the anger though it was obvious he was still irritated at the very, very, least. But he was also exhausted. And getting out of this drag was worth acting nice to the werewolf. Make you say

>Human< That calmed Shadow down somewhat. So the boy didn't know it was him after all. Well, he had figured it out now. Any future disrespect though.... That would be dealt with severely. With some severing... Nothing too important at first, a hand, or maybe a foot. The boy had used up all his chances with the werewolf. Any more games...and more insolence...and Levi would find himself on the other end of some very sharp claws and/or teeth.
"Fine. Let's get some clothes for you then," Shadow turned to the nearest shop door to him and walked forward, thrusting his foot into the door, abruptly knocking the door off its hinges with a loud bang as it hit the floor. He then turned back to the prince. "After you." He gestured with one hand.
At this point he didn't care if someone was watching. And if they were... Well. If he found out about it, they wouldn't remember it in the morning. One way or the other.
He watched the man closely though. One didn't put those words in a sentence like that unless they were someone important. Why wouldn't Shadow believe him? The only reason Shadow could see is if the man was going to suggest something that couldn't be possible. Say a noble or something, maybe of this very city. It would be absurd for one to be going around like they were...but it would explain the attitude. Most men didn't question a werewolf, whether they knew he was one or not.
And IF this man was a noble...he had to keep a close eye on him. The boy would be prone to try and avoid a kidnapping and could try to run. He'd need the clothes for it first of course... and thats where the shop and quick clothes change came in.
Yes, Shadow would be watching him very closely.
He hoped the shopkeeper didn't mind them taking a few things. Shadow nearly laugh at what he pictured the owner's face to be like when he saw the door. Well. He wasn't stealing any money... Shadow had no use for the stuff.
As Shadow followed Levi in over the broken door, he made sure to remember the boy's scent, however faint it was when he was in his human form. If it came down to it, he would track the boy down by it. And if it came to that...then Levi had better run fast, because he was in for some fun once Shadow caught up to him.

Swaying to my own SOUND Flashes in my face NOWThe young prince was surprised on the inside that the man had accepted his request. Surely there had to be some sort of catch to this? Levi opened his mouth, about to ask where the clothes would even about to come from, when the stranger flashed out a foot, kicking in the door was if it was the easiest thing in the world. The blue blood blinked a few times, mouth making a perfect "o" shape. But by the time the stranger looked back to him, he had composed himself, as if he saw people who could kick doors in everyday. Well, he did. Just not see them do it, specially to a store's door. Though he did glare as the man gestured, the saying "Ladies first" popping into his mind. The Daikan didn't comment out loud though, walking into the darkened store that they were breaking into. So, there was no more doubt in the younger male's mind that the stranger was a werewolf by this point. He stumbled into the store, eyes unadjusted to the dark, barely moonlit store. Levi kept his hands out close to him, palms facing away from him. His berry-colored eyes must have not wanted to let him see, because he had to do that for quite some time before he finally found the male's section of the store. It wasn't that large of a store and the prince felt guilty that they were taking something. But the need for male clothing -- for being one step closer to getting out of here -- won over quickly, even instantly. He grabbed some dark-colored clothes, pausing before grabbing some more gender appropriate undergarments. How had he almost forgotten? The prince and his scrambled mind looked for somewhere to change. There were no changing rooms in the small store and Levi glowered, close to growling. No, it would be fine, right? The man wouldn't try anything. Or, at least he hoped. He shot the werewolf a look before gesturing for him to turn around. Levi didn't wait, turning his back to the stranger as he took off the heels, which he would either have to wear again or go barefoot. Or, perhaps, there were shoes in here as well? His eyes had barely adjusted by this point and he didn't feel like stumbling his way, almost drunkenly, to search at this point. His glared at the wall he was facing, hidden only from the waist down by a shelf-like thing, which fully held clothes. He undressed quickly, stopping only to try and fail at taking the corset off, quickly unlacing when he realized that was the problem. After that he was dressed quickly into the dark clothes, which were probably black. Still with his back to the man, he slowly raised his hands to take out the extensions. How was he supposed to get away with the man in the same room as him? The small, tanish hands shook slightly as they pulled the extensions out slowly. He took his time now, trying to come up with an idea to get away. Perhaps the man wouldn't recognize the prince? Levi sure hoped so. He appeared in public frequently, much more then Reno did. That was the way she was able to easily been able to walk Obscur's streets, not being recognized because her strange hair was hidden from view. The Daikan snapped from his train of thought, realizing he had automatically removed all the fake hair. He lifted up another shirt he had taken, wiping the make-up from his face. He sat there for a few moments, soiled shirt clutched in his hands like it was the answer to everything. His hair had spiked itself again, like it was an organized mess like it usually was. Levi chewed his lip, knowing he couldn't disappear. He slid his eyes closed, wondering if the man was even turned around at this point. The female clothes were pooled around his feet, which were still bare. He could barely see the way around, so how was he supposed to get out of there quietly while holding his breathe? His mind continued to buzz, dirtied shirt slipping from his grasp as he tried to catch it at the last second. Finally he sighed, wondering if he could reveal himself and then, when they went back outside, then run. Yes, that's what he would have to do. After all those long moments, Levi turned, looking right at the stranger. The prince was sure he wouldn't even need to state who he was now that it was obvious without the female clothes.
