Vincent’s light hearted chuckle was louder than the crackling of the warm fire. His new acquaintances input had tickled him slightly, and the strange feeling of laughter seemed almost like a new feeling to the old angel; it had been a very long time since he had done so. The blind angel turned his bandaged face towards the fellow winged beings that were too, once angels, banished from the heavens, only they took a slightly different path. But Vincent did not judge them, he was just glad to have company after all these long years.
”Don’t be too hard on the humans, Young Aeron. They are but simple minded creatures. They still do not truly understand the world as we sentinel beings do. They are still blinded by their arrogance and ignorance. They do not consider all of the possibilities. I believe that they should have tried learning from the Elves and the Dragons, instead of destroying both races almost to extinction.” There was a slight remorse in Vincent’s voice as he spoke, as if he had considered these two beings that were almost wiped out, as a great loss to the world. Or even that he felt pain and pity for the humans for their blindness of the world around them,
”But alas, what are we to do, when we too are hunted?” Vincent smiled as he looked at his fellow angels. ”Come, you must be tired, I believe it is time for a good rest. Worry not, for I shall watch over your sleeping bodies tonight, you can rest easy, young ones.” Although Vincent didn’t mean to belittle the other two angels, he did consider himself to be their elder, and quite possibly, the strongest of the three, even though he was blind. He hated himself for such arrogance, but he could not help it, he had always blamed his warriors past for it.

Siasha's soft pink orbs flickered, the bright flames dancing in those deep orbs. Looking up from the fire that was spread out at her feet, a soft smile pulled at the corners of her mouth. She could hardly help the fact that Vincent's easy laugh had affected her so. Folding her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms about them, she sighed deeply and rested her chin. Who was this angel to her? His time in the heavens could not be greater than her own, or even Aeron's. The Traitor. How much had she missed in her time away? All these long centuries of being seperated from her home without anyone to bring her news, she only just now realized how little she probably knew about the place any more. "Yes, that was a terrible time, but the Elves and Dragons are hardy species. I predict they'll still be alive and well when the human race begins to faulter." she mumbled through her clenched jaw. Something like irritation swept through her as she realized that he kept calling them young. A normal woman would have been flattered, but Siasha didn't age and so didn't have the same mindset. Masking the feeling with a smile and small laugh, Siasha got to her feet. "Careful who you call young, Dear Vincent, for we are far older than you." She chuckled as she skirted the fire and poked him gently on the nose.

Aeron watched the other male as he spoke, wondering how he could call them young. He had no idea how old the Hell Angels and though they appeared young their bodies would not age. In fact, the scarlet-haired male was sure that he was either the same age or older then this angel. He had never heard of the Traitor, though something like that would be talked about for endless years. So they had to have been traded by the time this had happened. After all, Aeron never heard the demons gossip as much as angels had ever. "I don't think that humans will really know of angels such as us. They probably believe we're of another species. Though if the Hunts come back, I think we all know who would be the winner. Though, at least, the Elves appear to be making a reappearence. Dragons are as well, but now they seem to have another form as well. They're learning to hide." Aeron said, looking into the fire. His gaze turned towards Siasha as she got up, circling around the campfire, and spoke to the angel. "I'm far too awake to rest at this point. I slept earlier. So, Vincent, what might you be doing out here if you don't mind my asking?" the hell angel asked, wings shifting before relaxing again.

Vincent faced his head towards the sky as if he were watching it as he listened to his new friends speak. Though he had realised it, but he had completely let his guard down now, so much so that the magical field that he usually uses to see, was now almost completely gone. ” Indeed, the Elves and the Dragons are trying to conceal themselves, as are the shapeshifters now that they too are being hunted. But I fear that even though such races are slowly rebuilding their numbers, the humans far outnumber them. You’ll have to excuse my expression, but they seem to breed like rabbits.” Vincent chuckled to himself.
He hadn’t noticed that Siasha had been moving, and very quietly been walking towards him before he felt the slight touch of his nose, and her voice. Though, the instant that he felt the cool wind brush his warm skin, his instincts kicked in. Seconds before Siasha’s finger actually touched Vincent’s nose. Vincent had risen, as elegantly as he was quick, and suddenly, the small gap that there had been between them, was now grown. Vincent had leapt back several feet from the female hells angel in a single bound, even though such a feat seemed impossible. An engulfing and overpowering force of magic suddenly passed over the entire campsite, pushing back quite a distance as Vincent was suddenly alert. Though, when he noticed that it was just Siasha, he quickly felt horrible and guilty inside. He forced his little magic field to shrink back again and lowered its density as he sheepishly walked back other to the other two angels.
”I... I’m sorry... my friends... I didn’t mean to act so rudely... Please... forgive me... I did not see Siasha’s approach because I believe I let my guard down a little too much, and because of my usual stand-off-ish behaviour, my training as a Seraphim warrior, and my years of solitude, my instincts have heightened somewhat and I tend to act impulsively when my body sense any form of danger... ” Vincent’s voice was suddenly solemn and grave as he hung his head in shame, and bowed lower than he ever had before to both angels simultaneously, begging for their forgiveness of his behaviour.

The softest gasp passed her rosy lips as a gust of wind swept by her, tossing her hair about her face to settle messily onto her shoulders. A couple of feathers floated to the ground, much to her immediate despair, though it was possible that light things weren't her own. Siasha's heart beat frantically in her chest, sending loud pounds into her ears. Her wings flared instictively, creating a hazy halo around her head. The motion had been a friendly maneuver, and she hadn't expected the violent reaction that followed. Siasha felt a pressing force against her body and almost choked aloud, but didn't before it pulled back again. Shock prevented her from moving at first, though as it subsided she was able to move her hand from its place in the air and to blink once more. Fear showed in her pink eyes, as it had been a long time since she was in the presence of such powerful magic. Her fright was slowly replaced by a sympathetic understanding. That didn't prevent her, however, from fluttering her wings nervously as he reapproached them. "It--It's okay, Vincent. I should... should not have acted so foolishly. My empathy failed me." She stuttered, resisting the urge to reach out to the ashamed Fallen. "Just know that I am no threat to you, Vincent." Siasha lowered her eyes, almost submissively, as was her general approach to such uncomfortable situations. Situations that made a person shift uneasily, but could also decide something very important.

Aeron smiled as Vincent compared humans to rabbits. They did populate many places in large numbers but, even with so many of them, they only lived to be so long. It wasn't that they were weak really. It was more like they didn't see their limits and charged ahead anyway. That and besides their weapons and armor, they had no special protection or anything. Even the angels who had been traded away still had some sort of power. The Death Touch. The hell angel didn't know if Vincent had a Death Touch as well but he could use magic, which wasn't in the air anymore.
Aeron jumped as the angel was suddenly far from them. His breath was taken as magic pushed past him. Crimson wings unfolded to their full length as some of his feathers fell away, soon to be replaced by different ones. A moment later the hell angel was in front of Siasha, wings out to protect her. He didn't know how he had gotten there exactly, venom eyes widened as adrenaline slowly ebbed away. No, he had nothing to fear from Vincent.
His wings folded themselves to his back after a few more moments and he looked behind him to see Siasha. She was, of course, fine. He bowed slightly towards Vincent as he apologized, finding himself embarrassed that for even a moment he had thought Vincent would hurt Aeron's fellow Hell angel. "It's quite alright Vincent." Aeron said, straightening his stance.

Although Vincent could not see the reactions on the angel’s faces, he could see their body postures, and he had done even when he was moving. They were just like him; they act impulsively when their instincts detect any hint of danger. This made him happier, he now knew that he wasn’t the only one who acted this way, it also helped calm him somewhat, and it meant that they too were capable fighters. But what distressed him, was the uneasy tone in Siasha’s voice, he had upset her, scared her even. It made him feel even more guilty and upset for the way that he had reacted, even though they had both said that it was okay, that they understood. But no one ever understood, nobody knows what it’s like to be blind, and to have been blind for many years as punishment from those you consider to be your peers. But Vincent tried to not dwell on the matter to much; he didn’t want to risk the only company he had in years being driven away by his depressed nature. ”I know Siasha. Again, I am sorry for the way I have reacted. I have not trusted anyone in many years, and haven’t had company for even longer.” Vincent remained standing as he faced the two angels, watching them with his special magical powers. Although he knew that Aeron had only reacted in the way that he had, because he believed that his friend would be harmed, Vincent still found it hard to approach either of them. He didn’t want something unsettling to happen again. He also knew that if things did happen to turn into a fight, though a fight is not want Vincent wants, he knew that he had to keep his distance from the other angel, just in case. He could tell by the male angel’s posture that he was an experienced fighter; maybe not against other angels, but possibly against other beings here on this world.

Siasha stood silent for a moment, unable to find the words to speak. Her quiet demeanor had returned, the uneasiness of it all making her shift uncomfortable. She let her arms hang infront of her, her hands clasped tightly. "I'm sure you'll be used to it again soon." she muttered absently. Looking up from the ground, she cast a glance to the sky. Siasha's eyes twitched almost uncontrollably, and she found it hard to keep them open. "I must sleep, I've journeyed far today, and the nights events have only seemed to lengthen these past 24 hours." She lowered her eyes, "Goodnight, my friends." her fingers grazed Aeron's arm as she turned away. Siasha walked to the opposite side of the dying fire and laid down. The fire was still high enough that, through the glare, she could not see them. Siasha was glad, though, because it gave her the privacy one requires when deep in thought. Feeling completely, and utterly safe, Siasha slipped into one of the deepest sleeps she had had in a long time.

Aeron looked back, concern in his gaze as Siasha brushed his arm with her fingers before saying goodnight. The hell angel was used to staying up for days on end, sometimes having job after job and so on. He nodded towards her, muttering a goodnight to his fellow angel. He looked over at Vincent, who had stopped not too far off from the hell angels, though Aeron could tell that he had carefully kept his distance. "Really, it's alright Vincent. Why don't you get some rest yourself? I'll keep watch instead seeing as I slept just earlier. I'll wake you up if anything happens." Aeron said, sweeping his gaze across the silver of the grass.
No, it would be a peaceful night. After all, whenever Aeron had come here it had been quiet and peaceful. Why should it change now? Not many people came out here at night either though, so how had he meet up with so many tonight? The hell angel put that out of his mind as he walked over closer to Siasha to watch over her before sitting down, leaning back onto his hands while listening out for anything. A moment later he straightened up, looking over at Vincent once again. "By the way, you never answered my question. What were you doing out here as well?"
Aeron tilted his face upwards, toward the sky. He took a deep breath of the air, before pausing and drawing his eyebrows together. Something smelled strangely. It smelled of fire, but not of the campfire right next to them that was now more ember then flame. And not too far off, unknown to the hell angel, a large fire roared and began to creep quickly over the silver grass, smoke billowing into the air.

Vincent smiled as she watched the black and blocky figure of Siasha stalk to the other side of the fire and slowly curl up. She would be more than safe tonight with him and Aeron guarding their little campfire. His head slowly turned back to the figure of the male angel as he smiled somewhat. ” You’re right, I have no reason to be so on edge with you, my friend.” Vincent spoke in a low, hushed voice now, scared that if he spoke any louder he would wake Siasha from her deep slumber. ”I am sorry for not answering your question before I must have completely forgotten that you had asked it. I don’t really have a reason for being here, nor do I really need one. Quite honestly, I had been travelling through the forest to get to the next village to possibly find someone in need of my aid, but hadn’t noticed that the sky had turned dark, as I cannot see it.” The blind angel smiled as he spoke. ”But as soon as I realised it, I quickly started walking to the open plains here, you see, it’s less confusing for me to see things and defend myself in large open spaces like this, less life to have to deal with. And not long after I---”
His long speech was cut short as his body suddenly stiffened again. He could smell something that shouldn’t be there, not far off from their little group; something that had caused him to worry. His magical field, although unlike before where it had almost caused his fellow angels to suffocate, slowly wisped along the floor at their feet, and formed a small bubble around the camp with it’s range slowly becoming longer. Everything inside the dense bubble of magic that had life and was moving, formed black blocks, with the darker the black, the bigger the object. Vincent’s brows furrowed as he tried to find the source of his discomfort, and his mouth fell open when he finally did.
”We have to move, now!” He said quickly in panic as he found the source of his worry, a large fire that was slowly consuming the beauty of the grassland around them. Burning it and destroying it, and quickly making its way to their small little camp spot.

Perhaps it was the extreme sense of security Siasha felt when she closed her eyes, or the fact that she had fallen asleep in front of a dying fire that she ignored the soft coughing that shook her body. The act of ignorance was unusual for someone so normally alert, and her blissful state would turn out to be even more alarming later when she looked back on the events. Especially when she recalled how, in her sleepy state, goosebumps had trailed across her bare arm as Vincent's magic probed the area. It wasn't until she heard the faint roaring that something turned in her mind. Even so, Siasha could only manage opening her eyes into narrow slits. Drowsy from her swift sleep (as one often is after both extremely long and extremely swify slumbers), it took her more than a few moments to realize what was going on. Slowly raising herself onto her elbow, her light colored hair fell back from her face and down onto her back. As things finally began to register, her rosy eyes opened wide. Fluttering her wings once, she pinned them to her back and struggled sleepily to her feet.

Aeron zoned out slightly, focusing more on the strange scent in the air. Vincent's words went in one ear before floating out the other after the fellow angel went off on a ramble. He wondered if Siasha was dreaming about anything. No, not really anything. Did Siasha still think about flying? Aeron could clearly remember how happy she had been when he had let her fly by holding her below him. The hell angel could never remember his dreams, though however hard he tried to. What didn't help was that the scarlet-haired male barely slept, only doing it a few hours here and there.
He only snapped back to reality as magic made his skin chilled slightly. He looked up at Vincent, wondering what he was looking for. Suddenly the fallen angel seemed to snap out of a trance of his own, mouth falling open. Aeron was up a second after the male had finished speaking, scooping up the half-awake Siasha that had been in the process of standing. The scent of smoke had gotten stronger by this point and the hell angel now knew it wasn't his imagination. His scarlet wings unfurled and a moment later the two hell angels were in the air.
Aeron could now see the massive fire quickly spreading throughout the grass, burning it before moving on. But, among the fire, were...people? They controlled the fire, though didn't seem to be doing much to stop it. Aeron's eyes widened as he realized that they were spreading it. A few people stood the side, watching the angels not too far off. But the thing that the male noticed last was that they were all human. And they were clearly after the angels.
The Hunts were returning.

The male hell angel had reacted faster than Vincent did. But as soon as he had registered the threat and Aeron had launched into the skies above the flames with the female angel. He jumped back, not being capable of flight himself on account of his blindness. Instead, a tremendous amount of his magic spilled from his body and started to flood around him, increasing the size of the bubble drastically, and increased in pressure.
” Inundaciones agua!” The blind angel chanted as he raised his hands into the air slowly. As he did, a large amount of water started to flood from the space in between his arms and was directed at the water causing thick steam to rise into the air as the cool air hit the hot flames, slowly starting to quell them. Although this seemed like a highly powerful spell, because the longer than it went on, the more water was produced the stronger it’s flow and pressure, it hardly seemed to affect Vincent in anyway. But the spell was suddenly cut short as Vincent detected the other beings inside of the fire itself, presuming that it was they who had caused it. Vincent’s rage began to rise as he slowly spread his wings in warning to the people that he presumed could see him, but his eyes widened when an arrow came streaming from the flames and ripped through his right wing.
Vincent yelled out in pain as he felt the arrow pierce through his thin wing, one of the most sensitive parts of an angel’s body. He gritted his teeth as he turned his attention back to the figures engulfed in the flame, his anger now peaking. ”Reunir espada!” He bellowed again as a long, silver bladed katana seemed to appear out of thin air in front of the angel. He grabbed the black hilt of the blade as he swung it out in front of him, as if getting used to the weight or slashing at something that wasn’t there. Now ready to fight, Vincent waited to see what the people in the fire would do.

Siasha coughed violently, her eyes closed shut as smoke surrounded them. Tears flooded her eyes, not from being sad or scared, but from the ash that stung them. Siasha was fully awake now, though her senses weren't happy about it. As they gained altitiude, she found it easier to breathe and opened her eyes. People were scattered about the field, some carrying torches and others weapons of varies kind. Her eyes moved frantically, searching for Vincent in the mayhem of steam and water. When she finally found him, an arrow had torn his wing and the people were closing in. She winced at the thought of having her own wing punctured. "Aeron! We can't leave him!" she said, panic evident in her voice. Siasha wasn't skilled in combat, in fact, her only knowledge of fighting stemmed from watching them, not actually participating. Though, she had managed to escape certain death before by going transparent and using her death touch. Surely she could use it here too, to help them. Siasha was very still in Aeron's arms as she watched the battlefield below her, wanting to help but helpess in her current state nonetheless. The silver grass was disappearing by the second. Siasha wasn't unused to being hunted, but how could the humans destroy something so completely, and utterly beautiful? Something that could only be found here, and no where else? God forbid their souls went to Siasha, as her guidance would be biased for sure.

Aeron tensed as Vincent was shot in the wing even after the powerful magic he had shown. Another arrow was launched and missed the pair of hell angels by only mere inches. Aeron tucked in his wings, angling towards the ground. But even in those short moments of falling, Aeron had to wonder why these people had suddenly began to hunt them. The fire roared loudly but beneath that the angel could clearly hear cheers or shouts of speak from the humans as they closed in on the fallen angel.
Aeron's wings unfurled at the last moment, holding onto Siasha tightly as they swung upwards to land on his feet. He put down his fellow angel, who had been being carried bridal style, and quickly extending his left wing to its full size, covering Siasha. He drew a short sword from his side, black sheath almost invisible against his clothing."Siasha, I want you to activate your Death Touch but stay away from these people. Hopefully you won't have to use it." the angel said, feeling a tingling as he also activated his Death Touch.
He didn't choke against the flame and ash, used to it from everytime he was sent out to massacre a village. He looked out in the flames, standing next to Vincent, while biting his lip. The second one of the humans showed themselves he would charge at them. Worst come to worst he would have to go into the flame and search for them. But...what about Siasha? His venom green eyes held back the urge to look backwards to see her. He couldn't just leave her behind, or even leave Vincent alone for that matter. His new companion had already been hit in the wing -- Aeron flinched mentally at the thought of his own wing being pierced -- and though he had powerful magic another arrow could easily come.
