Grabbing a quick drink

Axel looked up to see the man grabbing the jewelry up off the ground. What was the importance of them? The fire dancer stared at the bracelet and necklace in the male's arms. Her dagger laid forgotten in the alleyway. Why didn't the man pick the dagger up as well and try to go after someone. It was like he didn't really care for either sides. So why pick up Elric's bracelet and a necklace?

Axel's mind flashed back to when Elric's face when his bracelet had been removed. And had the necklace come off as well? Elric had said to run only after bracelet had come off. The fire dancer's train of thought was interupted as she heard a new male's voice. Looking up, she found Elric gone. Instead another person stood in his place with wings and claws. What had Elric been turned into?

Axel's eyes widened as Elric seemed to appear behind Lea. Fire came from him and for a moment the elemental saw everything in slow motion. Should she help her twin? Did her twin even deserve to be saved after all that had happened? In was clear in the elemental's eyes that she was having an inner struggle. But suddenly her arms shot out and Axel made the fire stop before it could hit Lea. Her arms stayed straight out even though they didn't need to be anymore. Why had she saved Lea? Axel looked to her hands, incased in flames.

The bright fire didn't give her an answer.

The umbrella wasn't as lucky. Lea hopped away from the creature and the half burnt umbrella, in the rain now. She was stronger then Axel when in came to water, though probably not by much. Had Axel just saved her? Why would she? Even though her mind continued to wonder, her body actually took action. Water ran off of her costume instead of absorbing into the waterproof material. Still, water was touching her. Lea grimaced, not paticularly enjoying being wet.

In a flash, Lea encased her body with cold fire. The creature wouldn't dare touch her again. No flame could burst through the freezing cold. It would be snuffed out too quickly to actually do damage. The elemental paid no mind to the other male in the alleyway or her twin, instead watching the creature. He had changed from when she had first spotted him by quite a lot. What was the thing in front of her?

Elric watched as Lea covered herself in flames. He knew how dangerous just touching that flame would be. However he was not as slow as his other self was. He was thinking of a way to get through. He knew a head on attack would not be wise the fire was to cold and yet that was what he was going to do. He was going to use his demon flame at full strength. He did not care if he burned down the whole area. It was it's fault for being here. If the people and buildings did not like it they could leave. All he cared about was punishing the girl in front of him.

He summoned his flames again, however this time they covered his claws and remained in that part. It was like his skin was burning. Actually his skin was burning but healing at a rate that no one would notice. His claws were made just for the purpose of bing lit on fire and burning. It was the only part of his body that had no functional nerve ends. He did not need to feel the pain of his own fire attacking him. However it was important that it burned that part of him because it allowed the temper of the flame to increase again and the flame to grow stronger.

"Let us see who has the stronger flame. The blue Demon flame or the cold flame summoned by you. Don't think that it will be the same result as last time." The flame increased in size as he ran forward towards her. Each step he took leaving behind flames burning on the ground. He would set fire to the city to get to her. He just needed to get through the flame and have a part of his hand outside of the flame to start burning again. Even if he could not take out the flames he could still fight on both sides. He reached for her neck hoping to get a grip on it and make her release the flame.

Axel looked up from her hands, letting her flame cover her body as well. Unlike how most people would think, the flames didn't heat up the fire dancer. No, to her they were simply warm. Her fire made her appear to be just a bonfire until she stood. Nothing broke through the soild sheet of flame around the elemental, who looked at the Elric and then to the unmoving man. Why had the half demon just suddenly changed? She bit her bottom lip, staring at the man. What had he done? Her attention shifted to the jewerly in his arms as a light glinted off of them.

Axel's eyes widened after a moment. He hadn't really changed until the bracelet had come off. And the necklace must have belonged to Elric as well. Could they be seals? Her mind flashed back to when the elemental had been a little kid. She used to have to wear a seal when they did certain things that had to do with flame. Like when Rose had been teaching her to cook with fire because the fire dancer hadn't had much control over her powers at the time. But the seal she used to wear was a collar with writing all over it.

Axel went with her gut feeling and dashed out into the rain, ignoring as water hit her flames. They stayed lit and and the elemental was in front of the man in no time. Her flames receded to her hands and she glared at the man. "I need those." she said, signalling towards the jewelry. If she had to, the elemental would hurt this person. After all, she didn't know what Elric would do.

Lea was just getting annoyed now. What was with this thing? When the creature spoke, Lea smirked. Her flames grew, licking far above herself. Even though it had been a while since she actually fought, the elemental was coming up with a plan. She paid no mind to the cowardly man or her idiotic twin, simply watching calmly as the creature ran at her. Her flames were protecting her from the rain for now but she could feel some water still on her from before she had summoned her cold fire.

Just as the thing reached her, she fell to the ground, his hands shooting over her. The cold fire flared up, ready to catch the male's hands and freeze them. Lea's hands shot out as well, shooting her fire at the thing.

The man looked at Axel and shook his head. He could not give her the jewelery. Not yet. He knew that getting it on the current Elric would not be as simple as it seemed and until he took out the other female it would not be wise. This one was the only one that could use the flame well enough to fight against someone who used a cold flame. The problem was that he was not at his full strength. Was he still holding himself back. There was something wrong. "Hey LaRosa, why are you holding back. I thought you were stronger then that."

Elric was angry when she dodged the attack. He was not moving fast enough. The rain was affecting him more than he wanted to admit. He was unable to completely dodge the attack. His left hand and the tips of his hair where frozen. He relit the frozen hand making the ice melt again. This girl was not going to be easy to fight as he thought. He jumped back and created some distance between them. That was when he heard the man's remark. "Don't you think I was trying to use that flame, old man. He is starting to learn how to hold me back. Make him angrier. Do something to the girl." He placed his hands on the ground and summoned a large pillar of flame separating Lea and Elric from Axel and the man. He did not want Lea to interfere again.

He stood up and smiled at her. His shoes started to burn as a fire started at his feat. Now all four of his limbs were on fire. He bent down and picked up the dagger from the ground. It would not last long but he knew he could do some some damaged if used correctly. He lit the blade on fire and held the tip. It would not be long until the blade started to melt. His blue flame did not like metals and melted them as fast as possible. He threw the dagger at Lea relying on her flame to freeze the blade and hit her. "I'll stop attacking you if you give me a kiss."

The man smiled as the wall of flames go up. "I'm sorry, but I need you to scream. I really do not care how." He then summoned water beside him. He secretly changed his form to water in case he got hit. After all he was a water elemental and it was raining. It was the perfect situation for him to fight in.

Axel didn't really think about what she would do if she actually got the jewelry. Her fire crawled over her body, covering it even in the rain. Her breathing had gotten heavier but her fire quickly dried her off, saving the girl from the rain once again. She glared and was about to attack the man in front of her when Elric spoke. She turned around as the column of flame seperated them. Did that mean that the real Elric was fighting against what he turned into?

Axel turned back to the man, miscief clear in her eyes. But even though she could see through the flames, people couldn't see her through them. "Oh, I'll scream alright." the elemental said, teasing tone in her voice as well. Then she took a deep breath, smiled, and shouted. "DON'T LET HIM TAKE OVER YOU ELRIC!" the girl shouted loudly over the roar of many different fires. Then she looked at the man, clearly happy at her message.

"How was that?" Axel asked with a sickly sweet voice, a fake smile upon her face. Like hell she would actually help whatever Elric had turned into. Even if it was the same body, it was not the same person. The elemental noticed the water near her and growled. Right now she was safe from the rain with her fire but if she got hit by too much water and lost concentration, the fire dancer would be soaked once again.

Lea's flames shrank back to just cover her body as Elric jumped back. But the flames also made wolf ears and a wolf tail, her gaurdian animal. Rose had told her as a small child that everyone had one animal that looked over them. The cold fire elemental's animal was the wolf while her twin's was a fox, though her flame rarely took the shape of ears and a tail. Lea crouched on the ground like a wolf, glaring at the thing in front of her.

Lea saw the dagger but couldn't move fast enough to dodge it. The flames were snuffed out but the metal itself dug into the female's shoulder, causing pain to heat up her anger. The cold fire did its best to help its summoner as she pulled it from the wound. It stuck to the injury, not allowing it to bleed by freezing a layer of ice over it like a bandage. The dagger, bloodstained now, was frozen to the ground as she dropped it, glaring at the creature.

At his request, Lea laughed venomously and stood. "Why would I want to kiss you?" the elemental asked, smirking behind the fire. A shout rang out from her twin and raised an eyebrow. Just who was this person exactly? And now that she thought about it, how had Axel known him? Lea banished the thoughts from her mind and focused on the man in front of her. The cold fire on her hands turned to claws and she ran at him now, jumping upwards and slashing at him with her fire claws.

The old man laughed and shook his finger at the girl. She did not understand anything. After all she doubted that Elric told her anything about his demo blood. After all Elric hated that demon blood that ran through his veins. He pondered on whether to tell her the truth or not. He looked at the flames and smiled. "You got it all wrong. They are one and the same person. The issue is that Elric you met refuses to acknowledge this one as part of him. My job among other things is to get each side, the human half and demon half to get along. However it just is not working at all. I have no idea what to do if I fail at this." There was more, but he did not feel like she needed to know about it. She was just a stranger trying to interfere with his work and he could not allow that to happen.

Elric was glad that the knife hit, it was proof enough that something could get past the barrier of flame. The problem was how to get past it without summoning the full power of the flame. They were fighting in the open do depriving the flame of oxygen would not work. He did not have time to think about anything else as she came at it again. He barely managed to dodge getting nicked on the shoulder this time. He placed his hand on it letting his flame do its work. This girl was really stating to annoy him. He smiled when he finally got the reaction he needed. His human side had reacted to Axel's yell of encouragement the wrong way and had gotten angry.

"Why you ask. Because you are cute and there are not many fire types that can fight me as well as you can. I have to congratulate you on that." He the released all of his flames including the one blocking them from seeing Axel. "However the fight changes now. Axel remember the story about how the whole village was burnt to the ground. I did that. You see the one thing you should know about a blue flame is that it likes to feed on more than just oxygen. It feeds on negative emotions. This is the true blue flame." He summoned the flame on his arm again, however it was different this time. It glowed a marked darker shade of blue and struggled to get out of Elric's hand.

Elric did just what the flame wanted he released it. The second the flame touched the wooden door that they had left it burst into flames. The door was burning at a much higher rate then damp wood should have. In a mere matter of seconds the door was gone. Nothing left but ashes. Elric was smiling and the new blue flames were now on his claws burning bright then ever.

Axel shook her head at the man's words. Even if they shared the same blood, there was a demon side and human side like the man stated. But demons and humans never would be able to get along. And how exactly was all this supposed to help? She didn't buy that part of the answer, whether it really was true or not. This was probably messing it up even more.

As the fire between them disappeared, Axel turned around quickly. She had to help. But her body froze for a moment, hearing that the male in front of her had been the one destory the village. Her mind flashed back to the scene in the building. Was he really that powerful?

Lea jumped away after hitting the male and watched him. As he spoke, she continued to glare but her cheeks heated up slightly. She stayed silent though, adjusting her weight. She had landed on all fours again after jumping away and her tail made of cold fire was lashing from one side to the other. She shook the blush from her not visible face, going back to glaring at the creature.

Lea backed up slightly as his claws burned brighter. Her mind tried to find a way around the new flames. After all, she didn't know if it would burn her. Only normal fire did as far as the elemental knew but there was something strange about those blue colored flames. She decided that she would just have to risk it and was about to attack. That is, until her idiotic sister decided to try and settle this a different way.

Axel just didn't know what to do. The person in front of her could slaughter this whole city and she just couldn't do anything about it. She was weak. That mantra repeated itself in her head but suddenly she broke it. She could and would do something. In a flash Axel's fire was totally out and she stole the seals away from the male.

She was soaked only a moment later but ignored it and ran up to Elric as quickly as she could and did the only thing she could do right then. The elemental hugged her arms around the half demon from behind and held him.

The flames on his hands flicked as she hugged him. He did not want her touching him and within a few seconds he realized why. She was holding the seals. Was she an idiot. She had no idea how they worked, she could completely hurt herself if she tried to put them on without thinking about it. He looked at Lea. What was worse she was touching him without his permission. How dare she look down on him like that. The flames burned stronger as he got angrier. "Let me make this clear. I have no intention of hurting you, but if you interfere I do not know if I can stop myself. After all my other self is telling me not to. If you are lucky and do not interfere you can hear the whole story about the village." He was doing his best to remain calm, but it was not working.

He bent his knees slipping out of his shirt and out of her hug. The bandages could be clearly seen, but by now there were no wound to protect. He turned to Lea. "So what about my offer." He still had not heard an answer. To be frank, he hated that she was attacking him, but he like that fact that she still was willing to fight him after seeing his flame burn. Maybe he did not give a bug enough demonstration. After all burning down a wet door was nothing. What could be cause a bigger impact then that. If it was not raining it would have been easier. If if the flame burned hot the water still was a hindrance. He looked at Lea, he could not help but wonder if there was anything that could make her run away. Maybe if he started to dissect her while she was alive. He chuckled at the thought. But then she would use that flame on him. She really was interesting.

"Better yet. Do me a favour in the near future and I will stop fighting for now." Of course his desire to dissect her and hear he screams would not disappear, but that was fine. He was going to use that desire on his real target, but for now he had to deal with the two fire users. "Your quite useless for a water elemental. I mean you can not even keep hold of the seal. What use are you to both my father and that man if you can not do your job right." Of course this was directed to the old man.

The man had been taken aback when Axel had stolen the jewelery. She must have figured out what it did. He had to stop her from just putting it on. He appeared being, letting his form disappear in the rain and making it return behind her. He heard Elric's comment but payed not attention to it. The kid knew nothing about how hard it was for him to even work with a fire demon. "Listen girl. Don't be stupid. The only person that can just put the seals back on is Elric. Apart from him special care is needed. If you put them on there will be back lash and all of use will be effected by it. Understand?" He reached for the seals not wanting her to keep something dangerous like that. After all those two items did a lot more then the girl realized.
